SE Release FFVII: International on PSN - Page 2

Indeed, it is a smart move, but it only perpetuates the VII fanboyism, not to mention strengthens FF stereotypes. We need more love spread around to the non-Midgar/-Ivalice titles, and it would be nice if they put as much effort into it as they did AC/CC, instead of the half-assed way they did The After...

Yes all true... Speaking of non-Midgar/-Ivalice titles, they should have something on VIII and XI. Did you know that Earth in VII was called Gaia? It's not the same world as IX though. It was just a funny fact I wanted to point out.

Isn't Gaia the name of FFVI's world as well?
Also, XI's world is called Terra, correct?
Both very cool names :P

Yes yes. I like the names as well. They both mean earth or something like that.

Yep, Terra means Earth(Or monster), Gaia means earth. So very, very Greek :P

Ah actually in IX Terra was the palent where the genomes were from the main planet is Gaia and from what i heard most of the FF are connected like FF2 is connected because the dragoon in this one is related to FF4's kain then FF5 after the crystals broke then from here then it goes into six crystals still broke then into FF7 when materia is a alternative crystal i cant remember how FF8 tied in but FF9 was when the crystal reformed i heard FF10 was before all of them and FF13 is continued story of crystals forgot FF12's connection...........all true or untrue its just what i heard

I think they may have refered to the Planet in VII as Gaia maybe once or twice. Not sure. I just remembered it being Gaia.

Cool. Well XII is connected to Tactics and Vagrant Story. Which are both two completely different series I know, but that's the only connection. Oh did you know Cecil and Cloud could be found in the original Tactics on PSOne? Cloud is playable while Cecil just talks to you. So maybe Ivalice is just another continent on the other side of the "world."

Going back on topic I think would like to see how the Ps3's with no BC is going to handle it and if this opens any windows for FF or SE titles to be added to the PSN

That's actually part of the reason to why VII International was put onto PSN.

From what I've been told, we can expect a lot more older games put onto PSN this year, I'm hoping that SE will be joining the list of companies to do this.
