I still say that Sephiroth is my favourite. Though Crisis Core did dampen him a little. It was better when is history was a bit more shrouded. The lengths he goes to to bring about destruction are pretty insane though, you must admit.

Kefka rocks too.

Crisis Core was about the only instance where I kind of liked Cloud and Sephiroth. It was before they went... Cloud and Sephiroth... Infact at the end of the game, you can actually freeze frame the part where Cloud goes Emo.

Cloud was sort of happy but it seems the second he got the buster sword he went emo.....wait ITS THE BUSTER SWORD AND THE FIRST TSIRUGI OMG it makes skinny video game dudes go emo then when they lose it the get happy then get another sword then emo he should just be a monk like Tifa,zell,and snow look at them they happy as hell

Well that wouldn't make sense... Zack and Angeal had the Buster Sword for waaay longer then Cloud, and they were hardly Emo. I mean, Zack cried sometimes... But Cloud could never cry... Cause he's moody and wants to keep up appearances.

Creepy, if you ask me. I was like: "Wth?! Is that Jenova's head!?" It gave me nightmares xD. I don't find Sephiroth overrated at all. I find him to be one of the best villains in video game history. His appearance, his personality, and his greatness make him a pretty damn good villain.

Cefca's better to me...

If you knew what Cefca went through and exactly how he snapped, than you'd be agreeing with me. But everyone mostly knows what Ted Woosley let people know. I've read the paid bio that came out before FFVI (the makers paid some girl to do a complete bio of Figaro and more). Its quite sad what happened to Cefca. But how he snapped was pure awesomeness that Sephiroth stole from him. And riding meteors to another planet? Since when did he become a Dawn Warrior? Hmmm?
Anyway, Sephy is cool in all, but my Cefca is betta :>

Yeah, there's some questions to be answered, terra. The FF wiki is dishing out all this new info on FF VI. Like the history of Castle Figaro and how it took the former king several attempts to successfully submerge it, and many people died in the process.

Or how Kefka was beat by his head master as a child.

So which is it? The Japanese translation or the NA translation?

Is it Tina and Cefka or Terra and Kefka!? Choose a side! >xD

But seriously, Sephiroth bareley contributed anything to the series. Take a long hard look at Final Fantasy VI's story, and you will see the many, MANy things VII stole from it.
for example:

Aerith's song = STOLEN from Celes's theme. Listen to them! LISTEN! >xO

Though I must say, ever since sephiroth came out, there's been alot of long white haired effeminate anime dudes running around!

Cloud didn't turn emo, he was so poisoned by the mako that he became so disorientated that the attatched Zack's memories to himself. Imagine all the things going on in his head all the time, remembering things that aren't his and trying to figure out why he knows this stuff and not other stuff, and why things in his history doesn't match up? Wouldn't that make you appear 'emo'?

Sephiroth is awesome, though Crisis Core portrayed him as more of a human which did ruin his mysterious life and god-like status amongst SOLDIER, especially since Genesis and Angeal were in the same ranks as he was.

Kefka was awesome too cause he snapped into a psycho and became the god and the devil at the same time. The whole meaning of that last battle which you can find on the FF Wiki heightens the epicness of the whole thing too.

Turns out he was only a human the whole time, a Genetically enhanced human but a human non the less.

Actually, Kefka was beaten and (please highlight nex text) raped by his orphange's head master back in Thamasa.
So, he was beaten and (raped) so badly. After, he joined the army, moved up ranks and got his job besides the Emperor. Than, after getting his first injection - which came after Celes'- he went star crazy. He snapped and killed another high ranked person in the Emperor's high court.
Finding this out, made the Emperor lower Kefka down some ranks, and in turn, he gave that said job to Leo. Now Kefka is just a court mage or something like that.
And if this wasn't bad enough, Kefka learns that Celes reaches a very high rank (its either general or...um, Corporal) and finally snaps!
Now you now the Kefka of today in a short summary ^^ I hope you enjoyed it.
(Side Notes: I didn't get that information from that lame site! I got it from the actual REAL SE books they paid a girl to make >.<)

And I thought that the only Final Fantasy Character that ever got raped was Rapha from Tactics.
I thought Kefka got the injection before celes, along with a commercialised line of Imperial guard, and they didn't work out so well, so Celes got a more "Refined" injection.

As for Kefka, from what I heard, after the injection he was still relatively quiet as he usually was, but after Celes got promoted to Admiral, during some banquet, he snapped and then started falling through the ranks and playing with dolls and stuff.

Tis' a complicated backstory. And one I truley wish to grasp If i'm going to properly execute the game's fan-prequel.
