Final Fantasy XIII Dated For December 17 - final fantasy XIII - Kotaku

Rumor: Japanese YouTube ad leaks Japanese FFXIII release date

Now, I know rumors are rumors of course, and until Square-Enix drops the actual release date, we can only hope and pray that certain rumors are true/not true. Due to my constant web surfing, I stumbled across the news today of these rumors. I dont know if they are true or not, sometime tomorrow (supposedly), the date was going to be announced. Someone messed with the URL and magically found the release date and posted it on youtube.

Thankfully, we don't have to sit and suffer through timers to get the information we O so desire. (

Hmmm... There's the possability that it's fake since Its not Square's style to slip up like that, but then again it looks pretty real.

On a different note:

I could tell that you're worried about people flaming you, due to the possability that the rumor is just a rumor. Don't be, this site's basically made for stuff like this.

Yeah, I thought so. So if the Japanese release date is December could NA be expecting it in the spring/summer?

I think that was the NA release date. It could be another Chrono Trigger and be released here first. Or, maybe the game comes a month before December 17th in Japan.

Well judging by the abnormally large amount of scenes released in english I cannot disagree with you.

I'm pretty positive SE said they were going to release it worldwide at the same time. They've stressed the whole release it at the same time also. So I'm expecting worldwide December 17 to have it in stock. And for people to be camping and waiting the 16 or so sometime around then.

XIII is going to be for 360 as well. However, if you want your XIII Versus, you are going to need to get a PS3. I recommend getting the new slim one if only for XIII. It's only 299.99 USD. So would be worth buying.

Interview with the director said Japanese release in this winter, North American release in the spring. The English vocal work is already 99% finished.

Japan release date was confirmed at the FFXIII Party in Tokyo.

Spring release date is said as "International", instead of simply U.S.A.

I already told people the release date before, guess nobody really cares unless it's basically shouted out at a party. Anyway, this is confirmed.
