cool boss fight. The battles don't seem very fast paced though, I expected them to have more action.

It looks a tad too slow. I hope there is a way to up your speed either through levels or the configuration screen.

I don't know what you guys are talking about, the gameplay seems no slower than any of the Final Fantasy titles to date. Even XII's "revolutionary" open field system had fairly slow paced combat.

I like how the characters don't just stick to their side of the battle line, they naturally pace around and get mixed up in the conflict. Final Fantasy X-2 (For those who've played it) used a similar effect in their ATB random battles.

Another reason why it appears slow is because of a slow group of spell casters, fighting a boss who seems to often charge himself up so that he can heal himself. Once you see some of Lightning's "Air flippy" combos, i'm sure you will change your minds.

Only thing i'm worried about is the rendered background quality. It looks a little smudged in some screens.
