Crystal Bearers introduces new character and release date

Once again, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers updates itself on the Square Enix website.

The Official Japanese site (which is aproximately near to full completion)
has introduced a new character to the story: Vygari, depicted as a large red haired male of presumably the Selkie variety. Little is known about this character or his contribution to the plot, but screenshots depict him having rivalrous spats with Cid, thus he may not be an antagonist more so a rival, hinderance or simply just a gruff looking softie.

Aside from the character update, there exists a new video in the download section (AkA this passing year's E3 video). But to those not previously farmilliar with the site, or those wishing to bone up on missed time, you may want to check out the rest of the page particularly the world section, as it offers some nice media content.
The Japanese will see this game on shelves, December 12th, 09

As for us, The North American Square Enix news forum officially announced a release date for the 26th of December (After X-mas T.T)

I don't think that'll happen. And as for my import joke, not likely on a serious note either. If only I had a Wii I would pay even more attention to this game. Btw, did you ever get your Wii Gar?
