Dragon Quest IX Details
The first true installment in the series since Dragon Quest VIII, Dragon Quest IX is just months away from a Japanese release.
However, this is not just another installment in the Dragon Quest series. Instead of being released for the Nintendo Wii or the Playstation 3 as previously thought, Dragon Quest IX will instead be released for the Nintendo DS. Level 5 will again be developing this installment in the Dragon Quest franchise, as is the same development team who worked on Dragon Quest VIII. Kouichi Sugiyama will also return as the musical director. Although the game was just recently announced, it seems that production on the game is pretty far along. The battle system will be similar to that of Dragon Quest VIII, and it also supports up to four player co-op via the Nintendo DS's built in Wi-Fi.   Source: IGN |
