Default Good DS games

Well, I actually got my hands on a Nintendo DS. However, I haven't payed much attention to what has come out for the DS though. Other than FFIII, can anyone give me any suggestions on some good DS games? Thanks in advance.

Animal Crossing, Bomberman Land (Only for the Multiplayer), Clubhouse Games, Children of Mana, Kirby: Canvas Curse, LostMagic, Mario Kart DS, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, Meteos, New Super Mario Bros, and Starfox Command are all the games I own. I don't regret buying any of them.

Lost In Blue, Phoenix Wright 1 & 2, and both Castlevanias for the DS. Oh, and Trauma Center.
And Trace Memory, and Hotel Dusk.

There are too many to list.

I have a general idea what the others are about, but what is Animal Crossing like?

If you get nothing else, get both Castlevania games.

I have both SMBs and PoR and both are pretty good games (though SMB is a little touchy on the controls). I plan on getting some of the GBA games as well. And Mario Kart was fun when I played it during a con.

People have already said this, but I found both Phoenix Wright games to be completely awesome, so definitely get those. Otherwise, if you're an anime fan, I'd suggest importing Jump Ultimate Stars, the online for that game is great. Mario Kart is also really fun.
