Anybody else find this series oddly addicting?

I thought I was done with the Gold/Silver/Crystal generation, but I was wrong. I've played at least one game from each generation, including the most recent for the DS. I'm playing Diamond version right now, and it can be just as addicting as World of Warcraft. Childish series, the animes suck. The games are fantastic, though.

Sadly, we have to wait a while longer here in the UK before we can get the European version. There's imports, but I do believe our DS' Wi-Fi capabilities are screwed up because of the lacking compatability.

Or something along those lines...

I've never really been a fan of Pokémon, but I do enjoy playing the games. I hate the originals now, but I'll most likely pick up Yellow version again at some point.
I'm currently working on a team on Emerald to import over to Diamond (the version I'm hoping for), so it's been keeping me busy for a while. Yet still... after 5 years of playing, I still find it all very entertaining. Pity I never had a GameCube to play other installments on...

Yeah, the games rock. The only ones I owned though were the original red and blue cartridges for the original Gameboy. My brother owns Sapphire though and really enjoyed playing it.

Pokemon is perfect for an MMORPG, it's a wonder they haven't done that yet. It's only a matter of time though.

Yea, pokemonnline... *dreams*

is it addictive, though! no doubt about it! I remember getting Red for my birthday one year, played it 6 hours straight without putting it down

I've played Red/Blue, some of yellow.. i hated it.
Gold and silver, emerald, ruby, crystal and a bit of diamond i think it was? i kno i've played like at least one from eachseries.

I remembe getting celebi on my Silver game.. now that was awesome!

I've always found the Pokemon games to be frighteningly addictive. The show sucks, but I've always loved the game. I'm playing Sapphire right now.

The show is ****, but the games really are addicting. I own (technically) one game from each generation, and I find once I start playing, it gets harder to put down. The game seems so simple, but there's actually more to it than just fighting trainers and catching pokemon. There's the whole environments and behaviours, base stats, and the side quests, at least some, are pretty fun.

I've also been playing Sapphire a lot lately. It's pretty fun, though I prefer the Johto games myself.

I just downloaded Silver, it was always my favorite. I liked how you could return to Kanto as you finished with Johto, so it had much more depth. Even though the gym leaders were easy after the Elite Four. =/

Oh yeah, the main thing I loved about Silver/Gold/Crystal was how it was multi region. And I liked the day and night features, pokegear was pretty awesome to. Since they remade the Kanto version, I'm hoping the Johto region gets a remake to. That'd be pretty awesome to get.

Well Pokemon Diamond and Pearl brought back what made Generation 2 special except for another region. Still Sinnoh has alot to offer and I'm quite addicted to these two new games. Though none of the Generation 4 Pokemon catch any of my interests. In fact some of them are quite ugly.

I won't be able to play the latest ones for quite some time seeing as I'm in the UK (and also broke, but that's a whole different story )
At the moment I'm playing my sisters copy of Fire Red, I have a level 6 Charmander.
