omg, I looove this game, I play it through at least once or twice a year, I love the vastness of the land and the huge storyline, plus i'm a huge fan of the Divine Dragon. Whats everyone else think of the game?
it might still be for sale also, cuz it was a greatest hits.

i enjoyed it a lot, actually. characters were cool, combat was interesting, and i like the particular feel of the game. my favorite character was definitely Haschel due to his extremely effective combat stats and combos as well as the use of my favorite element, lightning.
it's unfortunate that there hasn't been a sequel though, since the ending left one to think that it would be possible.

I didn't think that the ending left it open, I don't really remember much of it but I think it was like the king got his throne, dart and wazzername got married(?) everythign went back to how it was.

it doesn't have to be open ended to allow clear indication that they could still do a sequel if they wanted. the fact that the possibility is there is enough.

Yea, I guess so. But my favorite character was the king, I got him to do hits that did usually between 1500-2000 in battle.

Are you serious? Albert was soooo gay. Lavitz was so much better when he was the Green Dragoon. Now he was a true knight xD

Anyways, I know there was a thread about this epic game, but it’s good to talk about it since I love LoD and it is indeed a kick ass game. Very unique and worthy of replaying; best rpg besides the FF series. Rose is without a doubt my fave character. Strong ass biatch in every way, hell yes. And her Dragon "Michael" was the best, he just knew how to rip those Virages in half, hehe. (it was worth getting him, oh ya)

I must say that I love those FMV’s heh, I still remember the first time I played it and in the middle of the game after the Phantom Ship scene came out I almost fainted and creamed myself at that ****, totally wicked.

“Balzac! Your death won’t be in vain” Shirley exclaims as he got stabbed by the big Virage and about to explode and she returns the favor by throwing a deadly arrow so that they all die in the process taking the virage in the process. Awesome. I still remember every part of that particular scene and I haven’t played that game in ages. I guess the impact was imprinted and I definitely enjoyed it.

It has been years since I have played this game. Possibly five years ago but I think I can still remember my team on the game. Dart, Mia, and (I forgot!). Oh well. I tried to remember. I so close to beating the game back then. I remember being in the desert and couldn't advance any further on it before my cousin stole the game from me behind my back. In the end I was satisfied how far I made it.

Wait! The third member was King Albert (Thanks LR for reminding me.)

Rose has had some connection with Dart and his father and yet I forgotten it all of a sudden but I remember being really impressed with what relationship them three shared. Oh well, I guess this is as best my memory can serve me.

Kongol, Haschel, Rose, Meru had teh hammer, Shama, Albert, Lavitz, Miranda took Shana's place.

The game was pretty good. Nice storyline, good battle system, and the music was pretty ace. Characters seemed to lack personality though. And leveling up was a total bitch. My only complaints though. I've replayed the game several times over the years.

Have you ever gotten the Final umm... fighting style thingy.. for anyone? Y'know how they have like 3-7 different kinds of attacks, ive noticed that on all my peoples there is one that is not yet filled ath the end of each list. Have you gottten any of these?

No. I was never able to combo unless I was using the first skill. Dart's Double Slash and Albert's Harpoon were the only one's I had down perfectly. The others, press X at the right time, then again, and be sure to hit O at the right time so the enemy doesn't counter, etc. Too much to deal with. You have to have very good reflexes for those, it seemed. With Albert being as fast as he is, I was surprised I was able to Harpoon at all.

O.o That stuff waz easy for me. May have taken a while, but I got it down pretty well.

Honestly, doing those last moves for each were quite hard because of the multiple timing, besides its pointless since even on the book it states that you don’t have to achieve them to kick ass. Just stick to ones you mastered, that way you get leveled up faster and make more damage.

Anyways, my fave moves for each were:

~Rose’s “Die More and More” & DG Magic “Demon’s Gate”
~Dart’s “Burning Rush” & DG Magic “Divine Cannon Dragon”
~Meru’s “Hammer Spin” & DG Magic “Diamond Dust”

Yea, well if you use the complete leveld up form of one of the later attack thingies v. the first one, I can guarantee you'll do mroe damage with the later.
I love the Divine Dragon. I wish I could keep it as a pet, hehe.

I'm not entirely fond of this game. I know it's good, great even, but I could never get into the whole battle system. Drove me nuts. I want to go further in the game but nothing I did seemed to make the additionals work and since that's critical to progressing through the game I quit. :s

You should have gotten the ultimate wargod accessory dawnie. :P. it does the combos automatically.

I enjoyed the game and have played through it atleast three times. And yeah they could do another story, I do recall at the end, they showed the two dragon soulstones on the ground with the two doves (Dart's father and Rose or a resemblance of). They could do it with different characters and all. In either case it still is a really good game.

Ya, but you only do half damage if you use that accesory >.<, and it costs a lot too. (like 10,000 I think?)

Well, there were always rumors about Sony making a sequel but for some reason nothing ever happened. We all expected a part 2 because of the ending, we speculated that maybe 2 new characters would inherit or embrace the power of the Red-Eyed Dragon and the Dark Dragon since Zieg and Rose left it for the next ones. However, it was also rumored that they couldn’t come up with a good enough story for such an epic game and it was too hard to make as good to please the masses. And just because gamers were begging for a sequel they weren’t going to just do a half ass game and thus it never happen in my opinion.

Yes, we cry because as fans we would’ve loved to see a new one and all, but if it was going be like something like a “FFX-2 flop” then screw that; I rather enjoy and remember how LoD was one of the greatest and unique rpg games ever. xD

Oh i loved this game. One of the first rpg:s i played. Cool and interesting. But i never finished it...

(SPOILER) I came to a place on the 4disc when you are to walk across some yellow "net" thing after you beat the boss "Lastkraken". The net is impossible to get across but before you get to the net you have a chance of fighting the dragons (Divine dragon e.t.c)...and i never got it..what should i do guys? xD (SPOILER END)
