For all you 360 owners who are waiting for some good ol' fun this summer. The wait is almost over with Starbreeze's newest release titled, The Darkness.

The story line: Mafie hitman Jackie Escatado becomes possessed on his 21'st birthday by powers known only as "The Darkness." What's more, Jackie has now become a target, you will play as Jackie using both his skills as a killer and his newfound powers to get revenge.

Gameplay features will blend from third and first person shooters along with getting to use your powers to be able to destroy enviroments and people and you'll travel from gritty new york slums all the way to the underworld to discover why you have been cursed. The main abilities you get are being able to summon creatures known as "darklings" to help you out to using "The Darkness" itself which take the form of tentacles that spawn from your back and grow and change depending on the darkness in the enviroment. (If the area is bright, they won't do much but if it's dark out...)

So I've been playing this game for about four hours nonstop now. I must say it's pretty boss. The controls aren't quite as tight as I'd like them but I've gotten used to them. The physics and graphics are boss. When I tear off a guys face, I actually do tear off his face. I like having Darklings kill off my prey for me or help me out in getting into areas where I can't.
