my favourite character is Mr. 47 from the hitman games, closely followed by the emotional faced Max Payne. both are killers of the highest degree, but the reasons behind why they kill make them superior characters than someone like the Master Chief.

Probably the villainy trio of Kefka, Luca Blight, and [spoiler=(SHADOW HEARTS SPOILER)]Albert Simon[/spoiler]. FFVI's Orthros and FFV's Gilgamesh also deserve special attention. Also, the little dog from NetHack, just because he's saved my ass so many times

Gabranth and Basch from FFXII along with Rubedo, Albedo, and chaos from Xenosaga.

Also, I feel I should point out the uselessness of the poll because this is more of an open response thread and not really a closed choice type of thread.

Cid Highwind for so many reasons.

Though I also quite like Cliff Fittir from Star Ocean 3. Raiden, Subzero, Sindel and Scorpion in Deception were characters I really liked as well.

I think when it comes right down to the line, Dante's my favorite game character. Stylish and sexy with more cheesy one liners than you could shake a stick at. What more is there to ask for? XD

Pyramid Head is also a fav of mine, Cid and Vincent from FFVII are probably my favorite FF chars, and my current obsession is Heather from SH3, she's just too cute.

I like Dante, even though in the 3rd game he sort of goes shirtless and yells "WOOOO!" a lot while swinging on stripper poles, and even further has cheesy battle remarks such as, "Blast off! I'm onnnn fire! You're grounded! Chew on this!"

Samus and Link are also cool.
