Yeah, I'd have appreciated another 50 bucks chopped off, but from a business perspective they don't need to, even when cutting only $50 the premium system is still cheaper than the core PS3 package.

And I thought that means you will be able to purchase a game with it. Then I read back, and the quote said the price-drop was to coincide with the release of Madden. So, yeah, you work out the rest...

Is it still not worth it's money? Out of the three systems available, that's the one I'm going with. Certainly PS3 offers the most gizmos for the price, but it's far too expensive for folks like myself, unless we're ultra-hardcore about owning one, which I am not.

You can still love PlayStation and wait for the PS3 to get a price-drop. :shrug:

I would love to own one but, right now, I do not see a valid reason since it has yet to see my better games. Once Tekken 6, Final Fantasy and all those see the light of day, then it's time to panic.

Especially if the X360 were to claim those titles, too, like Soul Calibur 4 and Devil May Cry 4. -__-

Well, the price drop is nice, but it still doesn't convince me to buy an Xbox 360. If they had dropped the price more drastically and perhaps added a game to the bundle I would have considered buying one. I'll just wait for another PlayStation 3 price drop.

The PS3 premium bundle did drop by $100 but it's only temporary. A permanent price-drop is most likely a ways away.

i dont think it's temporary, raising prices back up would make sony look just...idk dumb, as if they didnt know what the hell they were doing.

although u could look at it another way, the 60 GB ps3 is no longer in production, so when they run out, the only ps3 available will be 599.99 dollars (it includes motorstorm and 5 blu-ray disks though...)

360 is actually looking right now, what with it's low price, online play. PS3 has more games to my preference, but if the 360 is getting DMC4, that might sway my decision. Plus I can't deny it, Halo 3 looks awesome. And is MGS4 going to the 360? If it is, I'm already sold. <3

yes Exo, although it's been stated that MGS is exclusive right now, there is a good chance that it will be released down the road, perhaps as a special edition package of some sort, on the 360. Kojima's statements have not always proven to be very reliable, so it's doubtful they could keep MGS completely exclusive without suffering for it.

I think Bioware's decision to release its new RPG to the 360 could sway a lot of people into getting it. It looks amazing. They're pretty much the only RPG company that can compete with the FF series, imo.

I've always been more partial to western rpg's anyway.

I was close to buying a Blue Dragon XBox 360 bundle pack recently for £249.99 or £279.99. But my boyfriends friend has said that in the next 6 weeks, prices are going to go down and Im best getting one then!
