Honestly put, Elder pretty much said what I was going for - except I tried to make mine sound a tad nicer by using examples and what-not.

Nobody is actually blaming anyone, the replies have just been on basic suggestions and/or standard "rules" for online mannerisms and standard online behavior.

Additionally, seeing as how this is a discussion thread - the thread itself would only be closed if: requested by the thread creator, if it turns into a flame/trolling thread in which case it would be removed immediately. No thread, post or user is edited, moved, deleted or banned without fair reason on FFE.

Wow guys what a half sad conversation but seriously how ya been (I've been sick and studying :P) but staying on the topic ppl on here are awesome they'd never put you down for posting or abandon you especially not Sister Terra,Garland,Brother VT,Lady L and some others. Your right we all are strangers here but that don't mean we don't have respect for each other right?

right, you think that. i was a memebr before the updates to the site (ahh those were the days) and ALOT of people REALY hated me.... no idea why though... it was back when Brandon was running the place, man he was awesome! im not denying (bad grammer....sue me) that there are very good people here, im just sayin it was a weird happening... now that i think about it i probably should have chosen a better name for this thread.

I was here back in those days too, I remember posting a topic saying that I was happy to help anyone with their games and I got all "GTFO BOO DIPSH!T *More vulgarities*", which was my second ever experience on a forum. I was glad when the forums were wiped at one point and so I chose the same username as I had initially and by the time I had come back none of those horrible users were on the site anymore after the wipe.

So it's actually not surprising, considering a lot of the current users came in the first few waves back after the wipe and there's now quite a few good Users on here who are rather nice, in comparison to way back when...

Actually, I changed my username shortly after I re-registered here ((stalker issues, plus some smartarse decided to pretend to be me at one point and decided to harass people - it's all a rather long story)), but if people know me online then they recognize the P-Y on my avatar but because of said-issues I'm not going to post my former username or my new ID/username that I've taken to using after all of the horrible associations created by absolute morons and weirdos.

My first thread on the old forum, had over one-hundred posts... of flames and trolls not to mention a few of them ended up following me across forums after that incident and I honestly can't remember you - mind you, it's been quite a while and the negativity I've put up with on some sites makes me wonder why I even bothered to remember such places. I actually had a good laugh when the forum was attacked, taken down, put back up, changed hands/owners and then wiped, then the horrible users came back, complained and were told that even though they were the "original" members here... that if they were going to behave in such a manner then they weren't wanted by the new owner. Eventually, it all improved and finally became the FFE we know today.

Eh, I think I prefer the current owner.

Ralph is a great guy - nice and friendly, he also manages to put up with all of my crazy complaining and ranting on here which is a good thing considering... I would class him as one of the best webmaster's I've known online in comparison to the many sites and/or forums I'm on.

Well, if you choose to vent still or just feel like changing it to general discussion this thread can remain open unless you specifically request that I close it (considering there is the Ranting / Rant Your Face Off sub-forum specifically for venting).

wow Lady L I didnt know you had it so rough back then and your so nice and I like your rants they're funny. Thanks for the crash course lesson on FFE history its funny I use to be hooked on the Zelda power site and its chat from at the same time I discovered this place

Well, it does happen. Still, that's all I can really remember about the early FFE.
I eventually came back after someone I knew convinced me to rejoin the site, but they vanished after an attack.

Still, it's a lot better nowadays.

Its really because I think newer generations or ours are getting more mature I guess in some was as in basic respect of others feelings while older ones just don't care and came to crush someones feelings or confidence
