So, I've never even heard of this game let alone not played it, anyone care to tell me what it's all about?

You play as a Valkyrie who travels all across the world recruiting dead people into a party of warriors so you can train them up and send them to the Gods to fight in a holy war. It's 2D, sidescroller, has a ****ing kickass battle system and way cool character design. Never released in PAL, but a re-release came out for PSP retitled Valkyrie Profile Lenneth. Same game, new FMVs.

Buy it.

The facts that the main character is a Valkyrie and that I've heard nothing but praise for it make me want this game very much, but I don't own a PSP and the PS version is hella expensive.

yup, same here, no psp and not enough $ for original. didnt a remake or something come out for the ps2 too? anyways yea i always did wonder about that game. supposeable it's a good one.

No remake on the PS2, only a sequel. Unfortunately, doesn't seem like that one's getting a PAL release either.

i got a PSP, but not any games. is it really worth it? finding the original is quite a small fortune. at least 100 for a cheap one.
