The first one is a tech demo. They showed it at E3 like two years ago. It was just a remake of a cutscene from FF7 to show the capabilities of the PS3. I can't believe people are still falling for this.

The second one is a fighting game for PS1 that I believe had Cloud and Aeris as hidden characters or something.

Trust me, this is all old news and didn't even mean anything when it was new.

Second one is a clip of the psx fighting game Ehgreiz. Vincent, Tifa, Zack, Sephiroth and Cloud are all unlockable characters.

i so like to see the world tremble once more, to feel this vibe just once more. to shake the earth for one last Time. o SE why .. why not restore Final Fantasy To its Fulleest pottential to an eaven greater spactacle. to another lighthouse in the sea of live.

This is my first post, not like saying this makes a bit of difference, but just thought i'd mention it

As far as my opinion on a remake is concerned, i'd liek to see it. The video looks sick. It'd be great to be able to play either with good graphics, or classic, brick hand , lame eye graphics.

Square-Enix said they would make the game if demand was high enough.

Demand has been huge, theres threads like this on every gaming forum on the internet.

They will make the game most likely. My guess is the game will be multiplat (Xbox360 and PS3) and will come out in 2009.

Now that makes more sense. Demand has certainly been high since 1999-2000, no doubt it will be made. Though 2009 sounds about right, maybe 2010, what with the Fabula Nova Crystallis and all.

Doesn't Sony have an exclusive for the FF series games? All except for XI, FFVII - onward are all PlayStation exclusives.

I believe the only reason that the early FF titles were re-released for the Nintendo consoles is because they were on the Nintendo when they were first released.

SE will go where the money is and given that there already has been talk for multiplatformism, especially for Fabula Nova Crystallis, I won't be surprised if a FFVII remake does become multiplatform, that if is such a travesty does occur.

I'd hardly call FF exclusive to Sony. It started on Nintendo/Super Nintendo... didn't make it to PS until FF7. Plus there's all the past, and upcoming, non-numbered FFs and spinoffs, none of which (except Tactics, X-2, Dirge of Cerberus, and FF7 Crisis Core) are on Sony systems.

That's just not true. Look how many Nintendo FF titles they've released/plan to release. FFVI, FFV, FFIII (a complete remake of the original Nintendo title), FFXII Revenant Wings, FF Crystal Chronicles RoF, FF Tactics Advance/Tactics Advance 2, Chocobo Tales... Probably a few more that I can't think of right now.

You're ignoring FFXII Revenant Wings, FF Crystal Chronicles RoF, FF Tactics Advance/Tactics Advance 2, and Chocobo Tales, among others. Those aren't remakes of older games. Those are all new ones, several of which have origins on Sony consoles.
