FF7: Special Battle?

Unlimited Ribbons
You can gain unlimited ribbons by fighting in the Special Battle at the Gold Saucer. Morph a creature called Ho Chou during the battle, and you'll gain a ribbon. Continue participating in the Special Battle to gain more ribbons.

Er, how do you access the Special Battle?

I have no idea... i got thrown into the prison below... tis where I is. fighting that prick with the gun fora hand.

Battle Square at the Gold Saucer, I suppose. I always hated that place, though, so I dunno. I only played around in it long enough to pick up Omnislash.

I stayed long enough for the W-whatever and Omnislash. It should be in the Battle Square though.

I didn't know this. But if you morph that guy in Northen Cave.What's he called now? Master Tornberry or something, you get a ribbon aswell.

I didn't know that. That could have been useful when I went for the W-Summon.

I got to the special battle a few days ago. When you have enough BP to buy W-Summon (64000) you'll be given access when you speak to the receptionist. I believe you must buy it first.

hehe...the special battle is unlocked after buying both w-summon and omnislash, talk to the desk again and she'll take you to the special battle which consists of 6 battle square "bosses" (the ones found on the 7th round of normal battle square battles) and a seventh boss which is actually proud clod...defeat him and you'll be awarded with the "final attack materia".

Hehe i've always gotten the final attack materia but i just couldn't remember how to acces the battle square anyway =/.

oh, and if you have patience, you can get a ribbon from morphing the randomly generated sixth battle "tonberry" from the normal square, from what i could tell, attack with four 9999 hits then morph and you should be in business...(ultima weapon really helps)in my opinion, ribbon is EXTREMELY helpful and should be acquired BEFORE you enter the special battle

the battle arena is cake. all you have to do is max out your limit break meter, and use enemy skill materia.cast Big Guard, and regen,then use a strong limit break(meteorain/Bloodfest/Ungarmax/) and use "mime" command. it will allow you to repeat the limit break as long as you dont break the cycle.
