Knights of the Round, and a few of the summons found later in FFVII such as Hades or Alexander, and just about all of FFVIII's
summons. Those are my favorites.

odin,FF7...hands down...not only can he cause instant death but he looks awesome and sounds awesome with the chocobo music in the choco catching glitch.

KotR was to much trouble to even get in FFVII and was only a safety precaution to emerald and all the other to tough bosses to even try to fight. And besides it was kind of an overkill. Plus the fact that you had to get like the perfect yellow and a really good black chocobo. Both of them being almost S rank in the Chocobo races. There was also the nut that you had to get and the fact that when breeding them you had to be lucky to get the color you want.

VII - Bahamut ZERO
VIII - Tonberry
IX - Ark
X - Anima

generally i like Shiva alot.. so I'd have to say Shiva in X was one of the nicest for me...

I also quite liked Diabolos and Bahamut in VIII for style points, as well as Madeen in IX cos of the whole net weaving thing...

also, another one of my absolute faves is Cactuar in FFVIII... Simplicity at its best.

For whatever reason, SHiva was always one of my favorites. Espically in FFVIII, it just seemed like she was summoned a lot faster than the rest.

Hmm, my favourite Golden Age summon would have to be Bahamut from FFIX. He was probably the coolest looking Bahamut in the whole Final Fantasy series, and had some pretty kick arse movie scenes.

Other summons I thought were really cool are Eden, Cactuar and Tonberry from VIII. :P
