Yeah see you know what I meant. I Hated fighting Ultimecia though(killed my people and I couldn't revive them before she took them away). I never beat her but my brother did like 3 or 4 times so I just stopped.

She is a bitch. No doubt. But, I did defeat her after a few attempts -- after a few too many party changes and leveling up. What else I didnt like was the fact the most powerful magic was only able to be drawn in the last battle. Pft what a hell of a good that did.

Haha, I never tried drawing magic from her. My strategy was like "ATTACK!!, OMG HEAL HEAL, ok now ATTACK, NOOO REVIVE!!, Ah too late he's gone" Haha. It was something like that and much longer.

Haha, when I entered the battle, I had the ****est party. I can't believed I used Zell and still won.

This is the only Final Fantasy I couldn't stand...I don't know why It just didn't do it for me...

The magic system was horrible...The overdrives or whatever are let downs...The GFs were pretty good.

The story felt like it was repeating half way into the game for some reason...I heard it has one of the best endings though. I can't seem to make it past Greiver in the final battle...

I'm not saying it was a horrible game and didn't mean any disrespect for the people who did like it. It just didn't do it for me that's all.

Yes, I have talked about FFVIII so much anyone that knows me is aware of the passion I have towards this amazing masterpiece. Luke (Artorium) pretty much summed up most of how I feel about it and how I perceive this game.

I indeed think I've found a friend yet not a lover.

I believe the emotional status of the game brought in a lot of female gamers into the scene. I know a few women, yes over the age of 18, who played this game and felt it was both a masterpiece and more of a story on how the emotions of the characters progressed the story.

Aw, well thank you. I am glad you feel that way and it is a pleasure to see others loving FFVIII as much. Of course it makes sense that girls who have reached a mature level when it comes to love and emotions can definitely appreciate this game more than ever. Heh, this was one of my first video games as well, lol…well besides other few, but FFVIII took my breath away and I have to admit that I have played it so many times I lost count, just to make sure I got every secret or every hidden meaning I perhaps might’ve missed. I know, is crazy but that’s how much I loved it O.O

No matter what sex, it was brilliant to their eyes. I believed it to be that amazing, from the action where you race to survive to save the garden from total annihilation, right to when the characters try and delve deep into their pasts.

This wasn't the first Final Fantasy title I played, but it was the first one to make me feel so passionate about the series, most people who never played the game or wish not to I seriously doubt they have any understanding of both the emotional values or are pleased the great system of the game. This happens with all RPG's all the same.

Yeah, of course. A band I would class in my top 10 at least.

By far, in my opinion, the worst final fantasy ever made. I hate the story line, and dont care for the stupid card game. I've played the game, but refuse to but it becuse it is horrendus.

Well nice rant but can you actually give a valid reason on why you think the game is horrendous?

Sure the game is flawed in some areas but not finishing a game because it's horrible is just silly. But who am I to speak on your behalf.

VIII was just one of those, you either loved it, or hated it with every fiber in you. I personally loved the game. Even though Squall and Rinoa got a lot of negative feed back. They were a couple of my favorite characters in the series . The team grew as a whole, and felt like good friends. They weren't like a bunch of random people thrown together with a common goal in mind. Which is okay sometimes!

Lets not forget the cross dresser in Dollet. Good times. [=
