Default Final Fantasy Tactics

A Final Fantasy with a story that actually makes sense!? Woah.

Anyway, this is the best FF except for maybe 12. Who else here agrees.

Hands down the best battle system in a Final Fantasy. The storyline was very good and I liked all of the main characters. The only problem I had with the game was that it got way too easy once you get Orlandu. FFVI is sitll my favorite, but this is a close second.

There needs to be a FFT 2 for all of the next gen systems. I hated FFTA.

It would be so epic, next gen graphics with an awesome story and perfect battling.

Yeah, I agree. I never got a chance to play Tactics Adv, I've been having trouble finding an emulator. It would be epic for the PS3 to come out with with a new FF Tactics. It would sell like no other.

I wish I didn't suck at strategy games so I could stand a snowball's chance in hell at finishing this

Its more an issue of placement and tactical use of the character classes more than a simple game of strategy. Yes, there is tons of strategy in FFT, but its not called FF Tactics for nothing.

I absolutally love this game. By far one of my favorites in the entire FF series. Its kind of like FF meets D&D, except D&D only wishes it could be this cool.

I think the greatest/smartest thing that Square should ever do is to remake that game into the graphics system they have now.

Think about it. A storyline like that. Missions like that. Characters like that. Plus the modern graphics.

I actually cried when "Game Completed" came up on my screen. I didn't want the ****in' game to end! (BTW I was much younger then then I am now)

The only flaw is the end with Ovelia and Delita in the courtyard...all he says is "I...." and that's it...

Hopefully the new Tactics Sequel called "The Lion War" will be great. I hear Balthier from FFXII is in it.

How is "I..." a flaw?

The Lion War is a port with a couple extras added (new classes, characters, side-quests, cel-shaded FMVs).

If a sequel is made for next gen consoles, I hope the style is retained. I wouldn't actually mind if it had the graphics of FFT: The Lion War's FMVs. But, of course, the gameplay must remain the same or else it'll blow.

indeed tactics rocked. Lions War will hopefully be good since square has hopefully learned it's lesson about doing compilations.

I just got the game from eBay a couple weeks ago, but haven't played it yet. If the gameplay's anything like FFTA, it'll be great. Even if it's not, I bet it'll be good anyways. I'm just waiting on a memory card from Amazon to start playing it.

Did they even bother fixing the translation for The Lion War?

Is the translation in the original really that bad?

I'm pretty critical when it comes to dialogue in video games and I didn't notice. Of course, compared to FF7, any dialogue would sound great.

Hmm.. I wonder if it will still have Cloud as a secret character.. That would be fun to see what he can do in the updated version.. Also, I wonder if it will have voice-overs?

Aaron always complains that it was horrible, he couldn't even finish it because of the bad grammar/syntax. I noticed maybe one thing when I played through it completely, which was about 8 years ago, so I could have missed something.

Yes, Cloud will still be in it. They're not taking anything out, just putting things in (as far as I've heard).

There's no way it'll have voice-overs. Not enough space on a UMD for that.

Well, they have voice-overs in some PSP games.. Then again, I don't want voice-overs, then it'll take longer to release in North America..

True, MPO does have some voices, I forgot. But FFT is already such a large game, I just don't know.
