FFVII Was insane!!!!

It would pain me to see the classic changed. Too many memories of the old, 2D backgrounds and even the soundtrack which would, most likely, have to be remastered.

I dont think it will happen though, Square already said that the remastered opening scene of FF7 was merely a tech demo demonstrating the power of the PS3. This could be a ploy to ease speculation surrounding a remake but I doubt it. Still we'll always have the memories!

Oh yeah and to the author of this thread - The other spin off titles couldn't hold a candle to the original and I felt Advent Children lacked direction and true, authentic characteristics of the emotion and strife the game possessed. Not a fair gauge of a truly remarkable game.

The sad thing is that the sheer amazingness of FF7 is downplayed by the huge amount of people who go on and on about it. Fans of the series (whose fav is not necessarily 7) get tired of hearing about the game, which makes it get less and less remarkable, in a way. I mean, we all love ice cream, but if someone is constantly forcing it down your throat it gets a little tiring. I wish we could see some more FF 6 love, maybe even a little 8 love from time to time. Oh, and if you do love FF7 so much, you would show your appreciation to the square by playing through the rest of the series, especially the old ones. I think FF (the first), sets up so much, and it gives so much as well. If you pick any game out of the series, the same arguments could be made for why they are good as well as FF7. Good plot, characters, twists, summons etc. exist in all of them, and it dates way back.

WRONG. no matter how manny times they remake or talk about FFVII i will NEVER get sick of heraing it. also, i am currently in the playing of the rest of the FF's. mainly the first 6, ive played the rest.
