FFVII (PS)- Cannot acquire Final Attack Materia

Okay, here's the situation - I went in and battled until I got the Omnislash and the W-Summon. Then I left and went leveling in Mideel for a while, went through the Junon Submarine mission, etc. I came back later when it dawned on me that the final attack materia was also acquired in the battle arena. My guy (Cid) has 65,000 battle points (apparently the maximum) and I have, through the course of trying to get to the special battles, bought everything else offered for exchange of battle points (chamionship belt, etc.). I cannot seem to get the receptionist to let me in to the special battles though! Do I need to load a previous save before I got the omnislash and w-summon and just do it from there? What am I missing?

I get a lot of conflicting informtion searching for the method to this: some say cloud has to do it with his ultimate weapon (which I don't have yet), while others say it must be done with a characters ultimate weapon, while still others make no mention. I don't want to hit reset unless I have to!!

Please help!

y ai think that all you have to do is beat it with cloud and the next time you go in it should be the special match. i think that you can only get the special ONCE and if you loss then you can't get it again, but not sure.

No, i am pretty sure that this is not the case. You can do it again.

I just don't remember how you get it. But on second thought i think you have to do it all with Cloud or something..

well then one thing is agreed, that you have to use cloud, try just beating it over and over with him? you'll eventually get it! ^_^

No problem. GameFaqs is usually a good place to look. Either search (ctrl + f) a complete walkthrough, or look for a specific guide and do the some

just use cloud, beat the regular battle all the way through.....you MUST have the Championship belt, omnislash, and W-Summon,.. you can even pick the crappy handicaps since you're not going for bp.It will take a few tries if you lost the initial special battle.

DDR God Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Umm cali Age: 18 Posts: 116 Rep Power: 3	y ai think that all you have to do is beat it with cloud and the next time you go in it should be the special match. i think that you can only get the special ONCE and if you loss then you can't get it again, but not sure. __________________ God i made the Varsity wrestling team!!!!!! i beat my opponent in 26 seconds with a cradle pin!!!!!
