Chocobo Racing. Just capture new chocobos and make em go trough the races (choose GP reward instead of item).

Here's a legitimate cheat to get GP-

1. Buy a lifetime ticket for the Gold Saucer from the woman.

2. Run into the entrance to the station area, then run back out. Look right at the centre back of the area outside (across from the air tram thingie). If there is a strange star-looking object run up to it (it's pretty small and easy to miss, but look for it), it's a guy who will sell you GP for 100 gil each!

3. If he doesn't appear, try again. He appears every 1 in 16 times, so you might have to try a few times, but don't give up.

4. He can only sell you a max of 100 GP a time, so if you want more, repeat the steps until you feel you have enough. I usually get about 300 GP from him and then go storm the battle arena.

Just be sure to have lots, and lots of money, cause he costs a small fortune. Best way to do that is to put a spare all materia in a materia slot and leveling it up to max.

Those sell for a whopping 1,400,000.

chocobo races are even easier, and less expensive, just a blue chocobo could make it to S rank. and most things range from 50+gp
