Default FFVIII Obel lake walk-thru update

I was following the Obel lake walk-thru for FF VIII on this site and ran across another message from the shadow that I didn't see in the walk-thru. I wish I wrote it down because the shadow only responded this way once and I couldn't get it to come up again. It said something along the lines of "Back in the day, south of here, there used to be a village surrounded by lush forests and they lived happily ever after". Flying due south of Obel lake in the Ragnarok I saw a forest on one of the first islands I encountered on Centra, the desert continent in the south. You'll know you're in the right place if you land and go to the menu and the location is listed as "Centra - Serengetti Plains". If you land on the south side of the forest you will see a small area (a little bigger than a Chocobo forest) on the ground with a bunch of small blue "rocks". This is the only area (that I've noticed at least) in the game that has these blue rocks, so I assume it's supposed to be signifcant. If you search (press X) towards the center of the blue rock area you will find a draw point for Demi. I'm assuming this is what the shadow was referring to, but who knows.

Actually according to the brady games official strategy guide the "Back in the day, south of here, there used to be a small but beautiful village surrounded by deep forests. Everyone lived a happy life there" refers to the strangely shaped forest east of Edea's house with a sort of round clearing in the middle containing a grassy area. If you go into the grassy part Squall will make mention of how there is a lot of rubble lying around. Apparently that is all that the clue is making reference to. There used to be a town there but there is no longer and you can find its "Ruins" by going to the right area.
If you find anything else that might be linked to that I would probably be interested. In answer to your suggestion that the Demi draw point is what it was referring to I would like to point out that there are hidden draw points all over the world map. Most notably are the ones on the Island closest to Heaven and the Island closest to Hell where all over the edges and somewhat on the interior there are lots of draw points. The ones worth mentioning would be the Holy, Ultima, and Aura draw points.
If you have any questions feel free to ask about em. If the guide has answers I'll post em.

There was also a draw point in one of the forests on Centra in one of the versions of VIII.

And the initial ruins were destroyed by the Lunar Cry mentioned before the forced Lunar Cry. It also references the timeline that follows on from some things from Final Fantasy III (a few of the former staff members I've asked have confirmed a link to it whilst some of the current ones will give an abstract answer about it) so the Shadow is referring to a few things but it does match the old town on Centra and the hidden draw points around the ruins.

I'm not on as often on my laptop, due to it being damaged by my parents. Have done quick repairs, but I'm mainly online via my PSP Slim.

i'm pretty sure it refers to the draw point, but if you find otherwise, please post it
