Sort of. When people around here say "the interwebz" what the realy mean is sites where people from ACF post .

am i the only one who's noticed?

it's not so much that this place is like ACF, it just has that "aACF" feeling.

Nah. Not really. There are people here who post there but some are vets and some do it for the lulz as it were. Then again I like to think most of us don't have an unnatural attraction towards a video game character or even try to start a religion around that character.

not much to say, it was a bit like FFOF. A few ACF members got tired of the ACF staff, and diceded to start there own forum for ACF mebers to go to when they wanted to avoid the strict and often irrational moderators. They named the site Alternate Advent Children Forums. Therin was thier mistake. They essentially made ACG's little brother, and it eventually ed, just like ACF inevidably will.

I remember FFOF, which was mainly a safe haven for ACF's Spammers and now the only thing that they have that has anything to do with final fantasy is their name. But they were the success story of people splitting from ACF while aACF sounds like a failure. I believe this site has been around longer than ACF though as it's been around since 2001 and ACF was started up in 2004 and our members went over there every now and then and vice versa. That's why it looks like there's an extension.

This site had a forum long before FFE. Summoner Yuna, the creator of ACF, was a super moderator at the original FFE forums, then left to do her own thing which turned out to be ACF.

ACF grew bigger than this place, but its still the original.

In any case, yeah, this site's been up since around 01' or even earlier. ACF started around 04' when people heard about the movie.
