Any of you who keep up with professional wrestling will know who he is. He, his wife, and his son's bodies were found in his home earlier today. So I'm guessing they were killed, as for how, who knows. A few sites have onfi on this, but I'll go with this site, as I believe its where he came from:

I highly doubt it, those tributes to him were real not staged, and everyone said almost the same thing he loved his family deeply, I don't picture him murdering them and killing himself.

Just going on whats being reported. I find it hard to believe too considering how much all the wrestlers were saying he loved his family dearly.

He's *definitely* not the type to commit a double homicide suicide. I just can't believe he's actually gone. If there was any member of the 4 Horsemen I loved, it was him.

I've never been a wrestling fan, but this is pretty heartbreaking, regardless. To think that he and his wife and child were murdered...Horrible stuff.

ATLANTA (AP-Staff) - Pro wrestler Chris Benoit strangled his wife and smothered his son before hanging himself in his weight room, a law enforcement official close to the investigation told The Associated Press Tuesday.

The official spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Authorities also said they are investigating whether steroids may have been a factor in the deaths of Benoit, his wife, Nancy, and their 7-year-old son, Daniel, who were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide.

Fayette County District Attorney Scott Ballard said test results may not be back for weeks or even months.

Autopsies were scheduled Tuesday by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation in DeKalb County.

Bit of a shock to hear this, not watched wrestling for a few years but he was one of my favourites and one of the best. Very tragic news.

Yes, this is horrible. I remember growing up watching him, pretending to be him when I wrestled with my brother...Truely one of the better wrestlers I can remember. The man brought passion to every match, and he loved his job. What more can I say, add his name to the # of great wrestlers that have died.

Is this all just speculation? I really don't want to think of him strangling his wife and kids, then himself.

ABC News: Sad Details Surfacing in Wrestler's Death
