Ottawa sounds the same as it is out here in Winnipeg. Standing at bus stop in -50°C is treacherous.

It's motherf%^#$@ cold out.

Right now it's 5 degrees F here in Scranton. our high is gonna be a nice double digit of 11.

Climate change actually won't make the weather in winter any better, because while the general effect of "global warming" is to raise the average year-round temperature, the winters actually become more extreme.

Am I seriously the only one who lives in the southern hemisphere? Guys, it get too hot to do anything, it's amazing the walls around me don't melt. We've had all around the county 49 days of constant fires which ended in early January and hell no rain. Does anywhere here have normal weather at all?

As a note, we experienced our wost summer in over 50 years =\

So far, we haven't had winter yet. We had autumn, then a bit of spring, and now we're back at autumn. Worst we had was one or two degrees below freezing (celsius), but that's all.

Ottawa's a nice city, it's nice insofar as that you can drive for about 1/2 hour and actually be totally out of Ottawa.

And you get to go skating on the Rideau canal! Nothing better than skating right up to the Beaver Tail booth and getting a nice hot maple tail :3

hehe we're going to go skating on the Rideau this weekend, and look at the ice sculptures downtown. Ottawa's a pretty city... except in the ghetto where I live (but its Ottawa... so the ghettos not actually that bad lol)

Yes Scranton is a real city and I think I've said this before but I've actually seen the building they show the outside of when they film The office.

Little Nicky?

winter blows. I have to go to a funeral that's 2 hours drive away on thursday, up in the hills, and apparently there's going to be ****loads of snow. If I don't return, I might be buried in a snowdrift.

Yeah, I always enjoyed the winter carnivals, the snow slides are good fun.

I bet my train gets rediculously delayed if there's so much as a flake on the line.

Well, Dave, you could always move to BC. It's always nice here without too much of a variation in temperature. :]
