Big news of today is Former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra lodging a £81.6m bid to try and take over Manchester City with former England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson apparently in the running for the vacant managers job (which personally I feel ruins any chance of them winning anything).

Predications for next season
- Roy Keane to do the double over United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool (unlikely I know but it would be Pure Gold to see that).
- Liverpool to fail again to make it into the top 2 after failing to beat anyone in the lower half of the table over two games, but another CL Cup Final will justify that they are a "Top" team despite losing half their games on the way.

Neil Warnock thinks he would be better than Sven at Man City...xD

Thierry Henry has flown from the Gunners and joined the likes of Messi, Ronaldinho, Eto'o at Barca. Gunners are apparently looking into getting Anelka back..xD

I really hope O Neill starts bringing in players, instead of just being linked with them

Well there's plenty of managers I'll take over Sven, he's pretty much got the job now anyway. Rumored he'll have a £50 million transfer fund too. Wonder if he'll go for Heskey?

Arsenal must be desperate if they're even considering bringing back Anelka, good enough player but he's proved to be trouble most places he's been. Trezeguet would have been a good catch if Juvi didn't sign him on a new contract, looks like Arsenal are in for another poor season.

Rangers to my mind still haven't signed anyone with Celtic buying pretty much everyone we've been linked with, mostly because we're trying to get them on the cheap. Only player we're linked with is Bordeaux defender Julien Faubert, knowing our luck with foriegn players we'll buy him for £4 million and he'll be ****.

Bordeaux want 10 mill for Faubert.,..xD

Plus i think Rangers have brought in Jean Claude darcheville on a bosman, alan gow and kirk broadfoot to my knowledge for the upcoming season. Theyve had a 1mill bid for naismith rejected.

I think Arsenal are looking a shambles. They seem a shadow of their former selves and with their main man gone, I can only see them going downhll from here.

You could see the rot at Arsenal setting in for years now, for 3 straight seasons their most experienced players have all been sold and nobody really was brought in to replace them and Henry is just the next one. They've got a talented bunch of players but most haven't reached their peak yet or haven't convinced anyone that of their ability (Walcott).

Forgot about those three. We've sold Karl Svensson and brought in Kilmarnock keeper Graeme Smith for free. DaMarcus Beasley has flown in to Glasgow for talks. We've put in another bid for £1.5 million for Steven Naismith allegedly.

Oh, and Bordeaux can go **** themselves if they want £10 million.

I actually think that Arsenal might be good without Henry. With the loss of many other main players, to much weight was put on Henry's shoulders and now when he is gone as well, noone will expect anything from Arsenal so they might be a bit more relaxed and find a way to play like a team once again. Plus they got a lot of young players that hopefully will take another step.

But seeing Henry, Ronaldinho and Messi together...

Yeah DeBeasley has signed for the Gers, good signing for them i think.

Itll be interesting to see who Wenger will bring in this summer. Will he rely on Adebayor, Van persie, Walcott as his striking power? Im thinking not.

News today that Barca might go in for fabregas as well...xD

I hope they don't buy Fabregas, that loss would be alost as big as Henry for Arsenal.

Didn't Barca want to buy Alves from Herenveen as well?

I disgree. Arsenal was without Henry for much of last season and they suffered without him. They need a prolific striker and I don't think Adebayor or Van Persie is the answer.

For immediate impact, Adebayor and Van Persie aren't the answer. But they're both nearing world class, and Van persie has been just as injury stricken as Henry this season - if not worse as it was for a longer period of time.

And Beeble, we paly too much like a team. Have you never noticed that no one really wants to shoot? It's always pass it until you find yourself on the goal-line, then pass it to someone else to try and pass it in.

We need someone who's an out and out goalscorer. What Van Nistelrooy did for Man Utd, what robbie fowler did in the past for Liverpool. The Zola for chelsea. The Henry for Arsenal. We're linked with Obufeni Martins, he's got a £13m buy-out clause in his contract, and Newcastle are in crisis talks with him. If we wan't him, we can excercise that clause and take him

Martins would be a great signing for the Gunners, Newcastle really want to keep hold of him.

Managers bemoan the clauses players put in contracts but in my opinion they cant agree to everything the player demands then cry when another club invokes a clause. Obviously Allerdyce wasnt manager when Martins came to the club, however Newcastle knew the situation and that it could happen- Also Owen apparently has a clause too..xD

While Zola was world class he wasn't a prolific goal scorer. Hasselbaink and Drogba on the other hand . I think Adebayor is a good player but saying he is nearly world class is a gross exaggeration. Van Persie is oozing with potential and if he can stay injury free will have a big, big season imo, although he seems to be similar to Robben when it comes to being injury-prone. You basically just re-iterated what I already said.

I like the look of Martins. He has dirty pace and a beastly strike but I don't think he really fits in to the Arsenal style of play, but on the other hand, that's probably what the club needs. Arsenal play beautiful football I admit but whats the point of that if they aren't winning anything and how long will the fans put up with it?

Never thought about it that way...You're prolly right about that, Arsenal play the most beautiful football in the world when they want to, but the goalscoaring hasn't been the greatest lately. Why not buy Eto'o from Barca? :P

Talk about Football here. How is your team doing? What players would you like to see join the club in the Summer or leave?

Aston Villa are my team- we brought in John Carew,Ashley Young and Shaun Maloney which isnt bad. Hopefully we can bring in some more quality in the Summer when we qualify for Europe
sounds kool!

Bordeaux got 6mill from West Ham for Faubert Scrutator...xD

Supposedly Villa are going on a massive spending spree with Randy Lerner jetting into the country to meet O Neill and bring in players- one whose apparently had a medical is Reo Coker who we are getting for 8mill.

I love playing against Arsenal. They always try and walk it over the line and we have the best defence in the premiership.

Arsenal have replaced Henry with Eduardo da Silva ( or Dudu) from Dinamo. He is a brazilian born nationalized Croatian. Lets see how that one pans out.

Villa better start bringing in people soon- pre season starts soon
