Deadwood

I've heard a lot of good things about this and I love Western films but only got round to watching the first season on DVD a few weeks ago, hugely impressed with every aspect of this show from the scripting to the acting with Ian McShane's Al Swearengen as one of my favourite TV characters ever.

I especially liked the more realistic tone that the series has when compared to most films in the genre and I was saddened to hear that it was canceled after the third season, although attempts at making two TV movies are being made so it'll hopefully go on for a bit longer yet.

Anyone else here a watcher of the show?

I seen it advertsed and only watched it once because there was nothing on Tv

I've been watching it since the first season, it's an excellent show, imho.

Best television show of all time. I try to get people to watch it, I try to spread the awesomeness that is Deadwood, but everyone just shoots me down. A pity, because it really is one of the more original, well-written things to hit television in a long, long time.

I've tried to get a couple of people to watch this too but they can't be arsed either, shame since it is one of the bets things to come on TV for ages. I wouldn't say the best show of all time yet though since I've only seen the first season but I should be getting the second through the post at the end of the week so I'll get my fix then.
