Basic summary. Though it hasn't been Confirmed, while doing a press conference for Spiderman 3, director Sam Raimi alluded to that he would be ok if given the chance of doing the hobbit. It has been rumored that Raimi may be up for the director slot. Though this would take away time from doing Spiderman 4 which Sony President Matt Tolmach had hoped Raimi would be ready for.
