I'm sure that many of us have seen this movie at this point, being the incredible uber-geeks that we are. But in all my years, I've never seen a movie that's been so disliked by so many people as this one is... and I really don't understand why this is.
From the moment I saw the preview videos, I was sold on the concept. Here was a movie that seemed to be focusing exclusively on the character, without excessive use of the Hulk himself - who was brilliantly portrayed when he was on screen, no less. And the character of Bruce Banner has always been central to the Hulk comics during their best runs, not the Hulk himself. Without it, there's no real story, no proper ethos, and the whole thing falls apart. The movie choose to focus on this, and Eric Bana pulled it off beautiful. For those who have read the comics, you'll know that Bruce Banner is no innocent victim. He's a emotionally ****ed up, obsessive-compulsive recluse. Bana really got the character across, and the movie in general had some of the most real identities in any characters I've ever seen, with some very strong emotional cues in some scenes. And the art direction? The choreography? It was to die for. The way in which the whole thing was put together was amazing, with some very unique approaches with the transistions between scenes that was genuinely original - an all too rare thing in cinema nowadays. So, if you're one of the many with a dislike for this movie, please, tell me why. Because I really, really don't get it.

Hulk was alright but they overhyped it in a sense. It's true they did the same thing with 300 but even so, 300 managed to pull off some of the overhype while Hulk went kinda "muh." They made it out to be this grand movie that everyone should see, yet when you see it. It didn't feel as grand as it could have been. Plus the one thing I really didn't like was how they had one super villian who did things during the movie but really made his full appearance at the end.
Atleast that's my two cents.

They're sadly making another. The Pandora's box has pretty much been opened on comicbook movies it would seem. Still, Iron-Man should be good, The Astonishing Ant-Man however (yes they are thinking about making a movie on this little know Marvel hero)..not so much. Oh and The Wonder Woman movie, but I'm pretty sure she's from DC comics. I never really got into her series.

The Hulk kicks arse, but that was in the comics and cartoons that he kicked arse. The movie was a big dissapointment though, and the video game wasn't very good either.
