So is anyone else going to be cancelling plans with friends and family in order to go see this?

EDIT by Ravi: Only use the ID code at the end of the URLs. I'll fix this later.

Yeah, Frank Miller is great, and this looks like it's going to be a fantastically directed adaptation of him, so it'll be mandatory viewing. The same director's doing Watchmen as well, but unfortunately the first script draft of that leaked and it's ****

well in regards to the Watchmen, if I remember correctly from script writing class, scripts go through several drafts before getting the final cut so we could get lucky.

True, but the fact that they ditched David Hayter's script when Alan Moore himself said it was the closest anyone could get to adapting Watchmen for the big screen gives me a bad feeling. Moore's notoriously hostile to film adaptations of his work, we might note.

But meh, I shouldn't hijack the thread with off-topic discussion. I'm quite fond of the way 300 looks and all the people bitching that it's not "historically accurate" are missing the point.

true. It's a Frank Miller graphic novel about the spartans. Doesn't have to be down to a T. Chances are and I do have a good feeling about it that it will do aswell or maybe even better than Sin City in the box office. Plus if the trailer alone is good. Can't wait for the movie.

There have been **** movies with amazingly impressive trailers before. But somehow I doubt this'll be one of them.

Looks like a trailer for a God of War movie at first, but to be honest, this movie looks pretty dang cool. I'm going to have to go see this one, and I don't go to theaters to see many movies.

I've always thought that Frank Miller was pretty hit and miss as a writer, and though I've never read 300, it looks ****ing brilliant. Also Gerard Butler is hell cool.

300 looks like it's been built to prepare for the win, tbh imho fgj ftw.

Push all your doubts aside, for IGN has a review.

That's a pretty ****ing bold statement. Someone make time go faster.

I invented a time machine that involves putting a paper bag over your head that has the power to time travel by the speed of time but with a bag over your head. If I survive. I'll tell you how righteously 300 owned my eyes and ears. (Love Metalocalypse)

it is a mandatory viewing for me. unfortunatly I have no one else who wants to go see it, so I shall be alone in my glorious viewing of this piece of cinema

The trailer looks great, and i really hope the rest of the movie is just as good. It happened more than one time that all the good parts is shown in a trailer, adn the rest is just crap.
