Not really. the only Hannibal movie that ruled was Silence Of The Lambs. Didn't like the other ones and I doubt I'll like this one.

It certainly wasn't a bad movie but I expected it to be a lot more gruesome.

The reviews ive read for it seem to say its pretty rubbish and doesnt live up to Silence of the Lambs. As others have said, if it hasnt got Anthony Hopkins in it as the title role its pretty much bound to fail with the exception of Manhunter (Brian Cox) of course which was also a quality movie.

Not too many Hannibal movies do live up to Silence of the Lambs. When a new one wins best picture again, then you can make the conjunction.

It's gotten **** reviews so I'm not wasting my time. The only good one other than Silence of the Lambs was Red Dragon.

This weekend it's probably going to be Ghost Rider that gets my money, and I'm praying it's good though I am seriously doubting it will be.

Ghostrider reminds me of Daredevil, and I believe that did not do too well at the office.

Yeah, I'm going against my better judgment by going to see Ghost Rider. Also, avoid Smokin' Aces. I ignored the reviews for that one and they were right, it was horrendous.

Obñøxiøµs overall enjoyed this movie, but at the same time, she found it a touch boring and repetitive. I did like how they attempt to show you where the Hannibal mastermind originated and how he was prior to Silence of the Lambs, but the movie just felt week in some parts. I don't want to go into it in too much depth as some people may not wish to see the spoilers. I will say that I was VERY tired of seeing/hearing about the business with his sister. It was like "OMFG! Another flashback/nightmare!"

Its still a good movie.

I watched it only because its part of the series and i suppose i shouldnt have been expecting big things of it in relation to Silence and Manhunter. I agree with what kakyoin says of the movie, they seemed to be trying to drill it home with constant flashbacks which wasnt really that exciting to watch.

Was it just me or did the ending leave it open for a sequel? I wouldnt be suprised if Hannibal Still Rising was out in a year or so.

The star of the film and its producer seem keen on making more Hannibal movies. De Lorentiis especially seems geared up for them.

Aren't they going to run out of books to base the films off of eventually?

If there's a Hannibal Rising sequel. It will not be from a book. Thomas Harris only wrote four books that included Hannibal.

Hannibal Rising was his newest and last book in the series.
