Primeval: ITV's Doctor Who.

yeah, i tuned in for the first 10 minutes of this and as soon as the restricted scope of the series hit me i tuned out.

dinosaurs in modern day is well and good for an episode of Doctor Who/Torchwood, but a whole series out of it would just bore me. I don't have enough of an interest in the big lizards to watch it for weeks and weeks.

although the CGI was good in bits, i wasn't drawn in at all.

opinions?

I origianlly thought that guy (can't remember his name) but yeah the git who misses his wife, I thought that was the same guy who played Elton in Love and Monsters, it really did look like him on the advert.

Yeah I basically watched the first 10 mins and went back upstairs, it was pretty boring. Disapointing seen as though I thought it was going to be good.

yeah, it did look like Marc Warren to me in the trailers too.

a series based on dinosaurs in modern day is just too safe for me. i like Doctor Who because one week you can see dinos, the next you can be on an alien planet. it's funner.

I think I was planning on looking into this but ended up working late so missed it. Ah well, now it sounds like I didn't miss much.

the CGI was ok, the characters and the story just did nothing for me. it was like a weird cross between doctor who, dinotopia and buffy.

I managed to finish it, and didn't really mind it. I think introducing so much in the first episode was a little harsh on themselves, because I'm sure we're in for some boring episodes now.

I hadn't even heard fo this, to be honest I'm not really that arsed that I've missed an episode, it sounds awful.

I tried to like it, really i did, but couldn't.

not even as something watch until the next series of Doctor Who starts next month. xD

I wouldn't push it so far to the end of the stick as being aweful.

I mean, I'm not the one who watches TV Series' weekly as shown, but with stuff like Primeval I couldn't bare two episodes one after the other especially with those damn adverts. I thought it was decent, at least.

it's not on the same scale as Doctor Who though. the CGI is good, but it's restriced to modern day.

if you don't like dinosaurs or hannah spearitt there's no point in watching it.
