Default Blast From The Past

If you hail from England or anywhere else in the Uk, you may remember a childrens TV programme from ages ago that was on ITV called Knightmare, which was quite possibly the greatest Childresn Tv show ever to have existed:

Heres a Youtube link to the opening credits:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LcRDPYML0M

The memories..xD

Knightmare was a fantasy adventure game show, shown on Children's ITV in the UK between 1987 and 1994. The show made extensive use of the 'Cromakey' (blue screen) technique to generate rooms and scenes with different backgrounds and graphics.

The adventure was set mostly in a dungeon, and there were three 'levels' corresponding to difficulty. Teams of four took it in turns to challenge the dungeon to complete a 'quest' - usually to retrieve a symbolic object, such as a Crown or Shield. The dungeon master 'Treguard', and his assistant occasionally helped teams along their way as they solved problems, puzzles and riddles

The 'dungeoneer' is the one person of the team who is guided through the adventure, and wears a helmet to blind them from reality. He or She is guided by the three other members of the team, known as their 'advisors', who sit in the dungeon ante-chamber and watch the adventure through a 'Magic Mirror'.
--------------------------------

What Childrens TV shows do you remember watching when you were younger?

It was indeed Richard O'Brien that presented the Crystal Maze. <3

Nightmare was a classic show too, used to scare me when that giant appeared.

Other shows I loved as a kid were Transformers, ReBoot and Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors.

Knightmare was pretty disturbing. I remember when someone died a face would come on screen with the flesh stripping away bit by bit. Or all the team would get frozen in stone. I dont think many teams actually won it...xD

The greatest shows I watched as a kid was Gargoyles and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

I didn't watch many competition shows, save for Legends of the Hidden Temple on Nickelodeon.

That show ruled.

Captain Planet. I never keep the tap running when I brush my teeth thanks to that show. The X-men anaimated series was also a great show back in the day.

Worzel Gummidge freaked the hell out of me. John Pertwee, who was a scarecrow, had interchangeable heads.

Yeah, I remember when Nickelodeon had quality content. Now it's all crap.

And yeah, the X-Men animated series was awesome.

Rainbow will be forever remembered for THAT innuendo riddled episode that you can find on YouTube...xD

Scooby Doo- You always knew who the bad guy was. It was the bloke they met at the beginning of the cartoon and he would always say : And i would have got away with it too, if it wasnt for you pesky kids...xD

Does anyone remember Bucky O'Hare? It was like Starfox with humanoid animals fighting away in space which was wierd back then but it was a pretty damn good show.
