I played it and it is good. I should play it again since it's also out for PS2 and I don't have my game cube with me at college.

I loved the battle system in this game, fast and very fun to play with. Liked the look of the game too although some of the backgrounds were a bit bland. Biggest problems I had though were that the story and characters were predictable as hell and made it a chore to go through sometimes although the battle system really helped, voice overs were almost as bad as FFX too especially Lloyd and Colette's.

Crazy enough, Scru, I agree with you.

ToS has a great combat system, especially with the multiplayer edge. However, what bugged me throughout the game was how boring the story became. On the GC version, the second disc was just so slow and unpleasant. But the biggest crime was the characters. There was a lot of wit and magic in the characters, but they were just too shallow! Even Zelos, the overall favorite, was too thin for my tastes. The same goes for the supporting characters, sometimes I didn't know why the hell these people were supporting me, or what their purpose was.

That said, kudos to the title and cooking system. I love the subtle touches in the system, just not the shell wrapped over it.

There were far too few RPGs on the Gamecube. ToS and the two Baten Kaitos games were the best of the... well... the only... but they were all great.

I'm a huge fan of the Tales series, and ToS is probably my favourite out of all of them.
