Skype?

Well, I notice that everyone speaks of AIM, MSN, or even Yahoo. I rarely see anyone say.."hey wanna get on skype?" So, my question to all is...Do you use skype? If so, how often? Do you use it more than the other instant messangers? I see it as just something to do if you want to play a game with multiple people are actually use a mic and chat. *shrugs*

I don't use it much for actually talking to people, I can't stand hearing myself echoing back on their computer.

That's why you have to use headphones when you talk to people.

Yeah, I lost the whole upper 2/3 of my vocal range. Couldn't hit the high notes in "Comfortably Numb"!

Don't really see any point in Skype other than the fact that there's no long distance phone call fees. I don't even know if that's true; I just made that up.

How's the sound quality of Skype?

I had downloaded it to do podcasts on FFR, but we could never get all the different features we needed with the right people at the right time, so it was sort of dropped. Oh well. Never got arond to actually using it.

The sound quality is better than MSN, put it that way Jay. I use Team Speak too for playing CS

I used it once to talk to Edman, it was strange and unusual to me and I disliked associating a voice with an online entity as it almost made him more human to me.
