Default Howl's Moving Castle

Has anyone seen Howl’s Castle? Is on now and I’ve been watching it this morning, and I absolutely adore this flick! <3<3<3

I’ve seen it several times and just can’t seem to get tired of it. I appreciate the story, shows so much symbolism behind it and the artistry of it as well. I’ve seen both versions, the Japanese one with English subtitles and the English one which by the way has a good voice cast, I think they were perfect for the role.

So if anyone has seen this movie, what do you think of it? And if you liked it, what was your favorite part and why?

I watched that movie high.... and it was ****ing excellent hahaha. I usually am not an anime fan, but the guy that does Howl's Castle also does Spirited Away and Princess Somethingorother, all three of those movies I found really enjoyable (I was high for the other ones too >.>)

This film is probebly the most special and beautifull in its kind. it ment alot to me to watch this movie and its symbolisum was also a hudge part of its success. the artistry is beyond well, with every scene to perfection and its story, music and everything else makes it a great film to watch. i wouldnt recomend it to just anyone though. only someone who could realy appreciate these values and the idea behind what it means could grasp its concepts and ideals.
the termoil between clashing worlds, friendship, love and support. strength and nearly everything else in human emotion becomes the theme and background of each charecter, and no charecter is bland.
each one is mysterious and has a strong personality that adds to the film so well.
this truely is a piece of art.
(i was so happy to capture this on tape, so we can watch it over and over^-^<3)

It was a great movie! I keep forgetting to buy it while I'm out.

Best character was definately Calcifur <3. And the castle was purely amazing!! So much detail put into it, you could really see how much the artists worked.

Johnathan Ross couldn't shut up about it. Asian animation and films in general I think are pretty much some of the most visually intense and beautiful movies being made. I just saw "The Hero" a secound ago and was really impressed by it. Too many wind machine moments though.

I liked it, I still do. Its a very well done movie, and studio Ghibli(sp?) is full of top notch animators. Plus Cristian Bale as a voice actor was a great idea.

Absolutely great movie. I fell in love with it. Just like Spirited Away, Castle in the Sky, The Cat Returns, Princess Mononoke, Nausicaa and many more. Hayao Miyazaki is a great artist. I've read most of the manga's for all these anime's. I sure wish to see My Neighbor Totoro. From what I've seen and read. It's going to be just as good as the rest. ^_^ and for anyone who liked Howl in particular.. I have a pic ^^.

I've seen many of Miyazaki's movies horendoussince my father lives in China and he just get it for us the day after it get out in theaters. I have to say that the english doubd voices are absolutly the most horrendous Japanes-English voices ever. Some of Miyazaki's other movies had a little bit better of English voices. In all I really liked the movie. I've seen all of Miyazaki's movies but Porco Roso and Castle in the Sky are my favorites( Howls Moving Catle comesin 2nd).

I really don't like Anime, but whoever directed Howl's Castle also directed Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke, and I really REALLY like all three of those movies.

I saw all of them really high and sober, and I liked them both ways (maybe more high >.>) lol

I'm a huge Miyazaki fan, and it's good to see a director who actually does get better with every film he makes. Howl's Moving Castle was one of those visually perfect films, and his plots never seem to recycle themselves too badly, as similar as they are ( boy/girl gets curse, meets girl/boy, amazing things happen, the end. )

I really loved it, though. I recommend it to anyone.
