Ive downloaded all the episode so far but havent got around to watching it all yet...xD

Heres an interesting bit of new today regarding Death Note:

An artist going by the name as SpaceCoyote, has created Death Note/ Simpsons hybrid drawings. The artist has been approached by Matt Groening and Bongo Comics, which publishes Simpsons and Futurama comics, as well as an unnamed manga company.

I have only seen up to episode 20 and when i downloaded those i assumed that was everything but it kept on going so i think the series will go beyond 23 episodes.

There are 25 episodes of Death Note out at the moment. and the series was (apparently) planned to have 36 episodes in total, which judging by how far it's come in the current 25, compared to the manga, would sound about right.

Have not seen the anime, but I read the manga from beginning to the end.
Loved it. One of the best manga and book I have ever read.
The battle of intellects was awesome...

BTW. I love the first opening to the anime (the WORLD by Nightmare) but the second opening just don't fit with such a high-IQ anime... IMHO.

Death Note is just perfection in every aspect. Its one of the few where I prefer the anime than manga because the music the colour affects, everything is just such a suspense builder. Though its ends at the end of June since #37 will be the last.

Zeke what are you talking about the second opening is just as awesome as the first.

On another note anyone seen the Death Note movies (if you like importing from Japan). That just as awesome, even though there are a few variations, it is very accurate to the actual anime storyline. There are two movies; Death Note and Death Note: The Last Name. It stars Tatsuya Fujiwara (yes Battle Royale for those unfamiliar with the name) as Light and Kenichi Matsuyama as L. I highly recommend the movies as much as the anime I really do.

I have not seen the anime, but was forced to read the first 3 mangas by a fanatic friend and found it surprisingly interesting, it's very different from the regular happy-go-lucky story of some 15yr old girl.

Yep because the character we follow is the evil one for once.

Default Desu Note

Well.
Awesomeness is undoubted.
But J-rock and heavy alternative are a little different...
Like I said, in my IMHO, Death Note needs a more melodical opening...
Maximum the Hormone fits more into some badass anime, like Berserk (if someone would adapt the manga into a revamped anime that is.)

And yeah, Yagami Light is one of the best antiheroes I ever followed… I was really hoping he’d end up the winner. But that’s life…

Death Note is an awesome anime until it gets up to M and N. Now from there on, everything goes down hill for me. N is a smart character, smarter and faster then L at times but L was an original character and when N was next, its like 'been there, done that.' M is a different story, i dont really want to start with. hahaha.

ZOMG LADIES! REMEDIES! MELODIES!

With that said I just read the entire manga to see what the fuss was about. I have to agree with the above post since they pretty much have to go over everything from the start again but it starts to get interesting later on and the conclusion was rather sexy.

Its now completely over and I did prefer the manga adaption since Lights finish is far more like how Light was built up over the show unlike the movie's...lets not go there though.

Last episode was the greatest. I didn't like the way Light
totally fruitbasketed but I guess it was only option for him since he had started to think of himself as a god. That is never a good sign.
From that moment on when
Light escaped it was perfect. The flashbacks and especially Ryuuk's monologue where the best. "We killed some boredom, didn't we"
