Default Anime Music

Music seems to be a great deal important, particularly the openings and endings of them. What Anime music is among your favourites? What Anime has the best music in your opinion? What Endings or Opening songs work well? What doesnt ?

I can only say I listen to the Ghost In The Shell OST's, movies and series. I guess the opening theme to GITS: SAC 1 & 2ndGig are okay. Along with the rest of the OST's.

Theres a number of songs from anime shows that i think are pretty good such as Naku****a Kotoba by No Regret Life, Yura Yura by Hearts Grow, Seishun Kyousoukyoku by Sambomaster, Haruka Kanata by Asian Kung Fu Generation, Remember by Flow, Namikaze Satellite by Snorkel for Naruto. Asterisk by Orange Range, D-tecnolife by UVERworld, Houkiboshi by Younha, Life by Yui, Ichirin no Hana by HIGH and MIGHTY Colour, Rolling Star by Yui, Tonight Tonight Tonight by Beat Crusaders for Bleach. Kesenaii Tsumi by Nana Kitade, Melissa by Porno Graffiti, Ready Steady Go! by L'arc en Ciel, Rewrite by Asian Kung Fu Generation, Undo by Cool Joke for the anime Fullmetal Alchemist

YURA YURA! <<" I'm obsessed, and so horribly sad that they're changing it when they're finally ending the filler arcs. But it shall forever remain in my heart as one of my favorite-est openings ever. Go!!! Was another good one, and for endings I really liked Ima Made Nando Mo. /NarutoWhore

Ghost in the Shell has an awesome OST (I love the song Replica), but I've also throughly enjoyed the OST to Trinity Blood and Wolf's Rain as well.

I like songs from Fullmetal Alchemist, D.N.Angel and Fruits Basket. Sometimes I feel that good music helps me get a feeling for the show. The list is longer but these are some of my favorites. The backround music can be pretty powerful as well. It's not just openings and endings but the entire composistion of the music.

I don't care what you all say but the song Sora (from Escaflowne) totally rules as an anime song.

oh and also Green Bird (from Cowboy Bebop) xD

Hell yes, these two songs OWN! =O

Your welcome :-P

And yeah, Escaflowne and Bebop have GREAT tracks, the entire soundtrack is quite nice for both actually, which I find rare.

Full Metal Alchemist has a REALLY good soundtrack as well, full orchestra playing

ok fine, yes thank you for the Green Bird song. But I already had the sountrack for Escaflowne, so :P

In a serious tone, I really do enjoy those songs altogether because they are quite enchanting...is like they make you float away into a distant land that is so magical.

Death Notes openings and endings are amazing, its rare you see a song that actually makes sense to the animation. Also I am a fan of the Bleach music since songs from like Aqua Timez and Yui and also the soundtracks are really good, even the unreleased songs like the espada theme. From soundtracks I'd say FMA has one of the best style since throughout the show there is no typical anime music but constant orchestral.

I find that the stranger the anime, the more interesting the music. My fav are songs from RahXephon and The Portrait of Little Cosset.

I named a few in an earlier post but neglected to mention the opening for Busou Renkin which was just awesome:

My favorite anime music is Naruto, but Eureka 7 follows close behind. However I do like Eureka 7 opening music better than Naruto.

Saiyuki (first season) opening and ending
Love Hina beginning

Absolutely love Chrono Crusade beginning. Still one of my favorite animes in the longest. I need to find the sound track really soon.

A few. Hacks were okay.

The only anime music I've ever bought was the Macross Plus soundtrack. Yeah, I rather liked that one.

Lucky Star's opening works well, the 1.8 million views on youtube attests to that.

I really loved all the music for Cowboy Bebop. It was very diverse, it helped set the scenes well, and I'm just a sucker for jazz to begin with. I've managed to collect most, if not all, of it through the glory of the Internet, and it's great to listen to even when the anime mood doesn't strike.

Also, the music to FLCL is pretty ace, as well. I wish The Pillows would get more recognition for doing music outside of the series, but these things happen, so.
