Naruto Shippuden Coming to Disney!?

In America, Naruto Shippuden's rights were given to Disney instead of CartoonNetwork.

DisneyXD will be playing the new season of Naruto and all the episodes of Shippuden.

"Beginning in October, "for some reason whatsoever," Naruto Shippuden will begin airing on the Disney XD channel. If you haven't heard of XD, it's a basic cable channel that shows a mix of live-action and animated programming. The aim's a little younger, so the episodes of Shippuden will be dubbed.

Naruto doesn't seem like a very Disney-type show, but hats off to Viz for landing the deal. Kids are going to watch anything with the Disney name on it. I can already sense the Narutard population growing!

We've seen and heard a bit of drama from dedicated series fans on the deal between Viz and Disney. It seems that some are upset that the show will be edited. You're overreacting, people. We are enjoying your reaction videos, though."

What made me post this, was last night I was watching Disney when I saw the commercial. I knew when CartoonNetwork stopped playing Naruto altogether, it meant something.

Ive known this for about 2 weeks.... still trying to absorb it all in. HOW THE FK ARE THEY GOING TO SHOW NARUTO SHIPPUDEN ON DISNEY XD!? Its going to be cut all to hell. The violence for that show, as I've read in the manga, isnt Gears of Warish, but something that Disney XD would censor the crap out of (especially Asuma Sensi's death). I mean, if they cant even show Batman:TAS without cutting the crap out of it, then I can only imagine what they are going to do with this. *cries, wishing it was on another network.*

only 1 problem with this..... its on a website on the internet. So, of course its not going to be cut. I'll give Disney XD a chance before I decide to drop the FailHammer on their editing. After that...... im going to need to buy a FailHammer........ possibly

Sakura's not useless. She had a strong will in the original series, and she still does. She's the best looking Naruto girl and she looks even BETTER in Shippuden. She's one tough cookie, but a sweet cookie too =)

A shocking decision to put it on DisneyXD. Geez, I wouldn't think they would allow curses on there o_o. I think I'll watch some of the English ones, but I'll continue to see the original Japanese version as well. Still, it's awesome =D

It's good that Disney are staying true to the original though. Hopefully Shippuden should be even better! Naruto is a pretty good show

Haha, the funniest bit of censorship for me was Lee's Drunken Fist style being changed to, IIRC, Potion Power. That made me crack up so much .
