Default Ghost in The Shell

I have to love this anime, no matter what. <3

The storyline does get a bit complex, but it makes me want to watch it even more so.
The tachicomas are just too love able... It has a pretty good plot to it as well.

Your thoughts?

You talking about stand alone complex or the movies?

Stand alone complex was pretty cool. I tend to enjoy the 26 episode animes that have a point to make, make it, then shut up again and don't drag on for episode after episode of increasing power levels or... what not.

Yes, the Tachcomas are very lovable. I would say too lovable in fact. Sort of like moogles, they'd be ingratiatingly cute if they didn't also kick ass.

Only see the film, didn't even know there was more than one. I thought it was boring to be honest, but then I don't relaly like anime. It was built up a lot by someone I know who loves it so in the end I was just left feeling "Was that it?".

I've only seen the first film and I loved it for it's rather pointed philosophical dialog. Though it was over rather abruptly.

Argh, I didn't know this topic existed. My bad. I love GITS, series, magna, movies, games and what ever other media is produced. The first movie was a classic, it always will be, it was one of the first adult animes to hit the big time. The series was also awesome, 1st and 2nd Gig.

The second movie was okay, I bought the limited edition just for the collecting reasons, the only thing I hate is that Motoko isn't the main focus in the story, even though her element is represented in a few ways.

The complex matrix of the series was a big deeper than you would normally think -- and that lost a few people, or at least blinded them of the true concept of the anime. Also the OSTs are amazing, the music is based on many levels, never really having the same kind of genre.

I'm a big fan of the first film and of the first season as well although the ending was a bit disappointing and cheap after all the stuff that happened beforehand. The second film was ok but seemed slow and pretty dull when compared to the first, I've not seen the second series yet although I'll get to seeing that eventually.

I watched a few episodes and thought it was ok. Never got to finish the series. I haven't had much time to watch anime lately.

Have GITS movie #1 and have watched the first season. I'm currently watching Season 2 and am on Ep. 12. Very good and in depth. I love the manga.. but I'm kicking myself for not buying the GITS: SAC game when I saw it. The next time I went to find it it was gone.

I haven't seen the series, I've had several chances, but i never really got into it

Though the first movie was slightly complex and detailed, I thought it was an interesting movie. I wouldnt say I loved it, but i did enjoy watching it, it was unique, and an anime classic (one of those movies you have to watch before you can really call yourself an anime fan, kinda like Akira)
