Default Philip Reeve

I don't know if anybody's read any of his works, but I'll carry on regardless.

Philip Reeve wrote a series of books about the future of mankind. But this was no mere flying-cars-and-aliens story. These were Mortal Engines, Predator's gold, Infernal Devices and A Darkling Plain, enthralling tales of mystery, deceit and adventure.

Civilisation as we know it has completely destroyed itself, and over the course of three thousand years, a new earth has emerged. An earth with vast plains, and new mountains, with moving cities and giant fortresses. With a Londoner named Tom, and a wanderer named Hester, whose lives were never same again after they first met in the bowels of London.

If you liked the sound of that, go buy the books, starting with Mortal Engines.

If you've already read the books;

Could elements of this strange depiction of the future actually exist?
Or is it all unfeasible bull****?

Oh, and please don't forget the spoiler tags. We wouldn't want to ruin it for anyone, would we?
