Yeah, Winters heart was a bit better then the others, but Crossroads wasn't much to be happy about. Havn't read Knife of Dreams yet, but i do hope that it is better than Crossroads...

It is.

I actually found Mat's parts to be rather interesting as well, if only because I like his interactions with Tuon and that Noal Charin dude. But I do agree that the Aes Sedai generally get the most interesting parts.

In the first books Rand get's the most interesting parts, imo. But after that, you're right about the women. And i do actually find some of Perrins parts quite interesting as well, especially when he returns home to save Emond's field, but the parts when faile gets kidnapoed and the search for her is really boring...

Yeah, that part was quite interesting, but in the later books he's pretty much constantly emo over Faile, and that gets repetitive

The hunt for Faile is really boring, indeed

I just finished the first book again, and omg i had forgotten how good the first books are. It's a real shame that he couldn't keep it up in all of the books.

Yeah, the early books in the series were pretty damn great

I still don't know what the deal is with the whole Arangar/Osangar thing. I have a few theories on who they are but it's really confusing.

Aran'gar
is Balthamel reincarnated
, and Osan'gar
is Aginor
. I can't remember which book it's in, but it's pretty clearly established.

hmmm...well there goes my theory that Lanfear
was one
. But that's why I'm rereading the series. I'm on Crown of Swords now. It's still pretty interesting. I love the whole Bowl of the Winds thing.

Lanfear
was (is? I can't remember if she's still "alive") Cyndane
.

I'm putting spoiler tags in several of these posts, for great justice

I loved the first book and actually made it all the way to book five before I kind of got bored with the series. I liked the way it was going in the beginning, but up to book five I sort of just thought, oh everyone's in love with Rand, and that's about it. Seriously got boring for me.

Cheers for the clarification; I couldn't remember. It's been ages since I read any of the books, tbh, and as I've only read the first five more than once I've pretty much forgotten anything that happened since then, other than the most major plot elements.

It's been quite a while since i read them as well, but if you wait a few months i should be able to give you a entirely correct answer since i'm rereading the books :P

Ah, rereading the entire series. I wish I had patience to do that. It'll probably have to wait until a release date for the last book has been announced.

To be completely honest, i'm listening to the books at work. Makes time run by a lot faster.

I've never been arsed with audiobooks. Maybe I should be one of these days. Probably not, though; too addicted to music

I enjoyed this series immensely. I think Jordan has done a brilliant job with the books and it’s amazing how he sets up so many things that eventually come together, may it be in the next chapter, or six or seven books later. I can’t wait for book twelve to come out and I recommend this series to anyone you enjoys fantasy and reading. Hopefully Jordan will finish the series before he dies, hopefully.

I find it kinda amusing that most people that i've talked to isn't too concerned about the fact that he is ill and is going to die, all they care about is that he have to finish the series before he dies :P

Of course, that's all that matters! Jokes, I hope he survives and lives to a ripe old age.
