Infected Mushroom. Analog Pussy. 1200 Micrograms. Cydonia.

All great examples of a style of music called Psychedelic Trance, one of those damn techno genres with mind-raping squeals, and a nice even coating of acid to boot

I am just wondering, though, how many people here actually listen to this kind of music?

I have buggering around in both the real world and the internet for some psytrance fans who aren't hippies, and no such luck. I thought to myself, "Hey, FFE has a diverse group, maybe they know what the hell I am talking about!"

So there you go!

Who DOES listen Psytrance!?

i have a large amount of Infected Mushroom, but i'll have to sample some from the others mentioned. i enjoy a good bit of almost every sub-genre of techno/electronic, so i haven't looked too deeply into just one.

But the real question Obs, is; Are you also a Hippie?

Cant say any electronica is my cup of tea unless it is filling in for a video game sound track, which is the only place I'll tollerate it. It's the being a musician thing, and having a really good ear for musical patterns. I pick up the patterns very very easilly and they quickly become droning, to the point where I can pick out exactly where the loops cycle and it's a lot like listening to math. Math isn't my thing, and I enjoy the Chaos of music which Trance is by it's nature incapable of producing.

Still, to each his own. Takes different turntables to move the world.

I used to listen to Infected Mushroom about 7 years or so ago, before i discovered metal. Nowadays i rarely listen to it, but every once in a while when i need to relax a bit, it can be nice to listen to it.

And did you know there's such a thing as Shamanic Psytrance?

It's CRAZY AWESOME

I love goa/psy trance and artists like GMS,Skazi,Talamasca,Goa Syndrom,Infected Mushrooms,1200mics,Raja Ram and many more...Mindblowing music for sure

Got the huge collection of goa trance at home.

I don't know anyone who's a massive fan but I know one of my brothers has some stuff. I don't think it's the kind of thing he'd listen to ofetn but I do recall seeing the names Infected Mushroom and Analog Pussy.
