Last.FM is a site that installs a plugin for your music player and compiles statistics about the music you listen to. You can then compare your statistics with those of other people on the site, and acquire recommendations based on your listening habits.

This can be a thread for us to exchange our IDs on the site, and I'm also making it to let people know of the existence of a group for FFE members.

That doesn't really matter as long as you listen to your music through one fo the compatible players then it recors it, whether it be from CD or whatever.

Yeah, I shouldn't have said just MP3s, that was a bit misleading. I can see where this would be useless to people who don't listen to music on their computer but for everyone else it's an invaluable tool.

What can I say... I suppose I'm old fashioned and I can't be arsed to rip my 726 cd's.

For what it's worth, I've got at least 200 CDs I haven't ripped myself yet either

But that'd make my cd player useless. And I can't put 4 cd's in my computer at the same time. I'd only listen at night on my comp through headphones, so it wouldn't represent everything I listen to a day. But I guess I could give it a try.

I actually don't listen to everything on my computer either, I just have my computer play stuff I've listened to elsewhere on silent while I'm sleeping (although that would require ripping everything, but yeah). And yeah, it's proven bloody addictive for me. ._.
