OK GO
>>Here It Goes Again
The famous "treadmill song", Here It Goes Again got me into the band OK Go. They're famous for their low-budget and effective music videos, but they have some great music as well. I would recommend checking out Here It Goes Again, A Million Ways, It's a Disaster, Do What You Want, and Invincible. Their best songs IMO, all on one album too.

Guns N' Roses - Nightrain
It's about a drink and getting drunk. I played this on repeat on my mp3 player at the bar last night since it was my birthday. I'm proud of myself for finally being one of those guys who drinks a lot by themselves in the corner.

Dark Messenger - Final Fantasy IX
I was in the mood for some FF music today after playing FFXII, so I went to various sites and filled my PSP with FF8 and 9 music.

3 Days Grace ~ Pain
I like this song a lot, it's not my favorite, but for some reason I still can't get enough of it. I'm into the rock, and these lyrics are really really good! They're telling how they'd rather feel pain than nothing at all, and without love. I think it just makes sense I give it an 8.5/10!!!

Deathspell Omega - Mass Grave Aesthetics
Philosophical black metal from France with a strong influence from progressive rock (this track's over 20 minutes long). The fact that I don't agree with the philosophy of the song at all doesn't diminish my enjoyment of it at all, because I love music too much to let narrow **** like that influence my opinion. Deathspell are among the most innovative and rewarding black metal groups active today, and one could almost say they are redefining the style with their work at the moment. Great stuff, fo' sho'.

Sinicle | Carnival of Freaks;
Sinicle is a very, very good local band here. I''ve been to thier parties and asked them to give me some of thier music. They're excellent and my favorite local band here, in Reno. Anyways, the band is cool, the band members are funny as hell and the song "Carnival of Freaks." is my favorite of theres.

Mahavishnu Orchestra - Birds Of Fire
My all time favourite Jazzrock band. Birds Of Fire is the second MO album with the legendary line up of John McLaughlin. Jerry Goodman, Jan Hammer, Rick Laird and Billy Cobham. The compositions are phenomenal, and the interaction between the musicians are mind blowing. ( Check the guitar-violin duel on Celestail Terrestrial Commuters for instance)

Mahavishnu Orchestra are great, I really need to check out more of their stuff beyond The Inner Mounting Flame. Miles Davis' In a Silent Way and Bitches Brew remain my favourite jazz fusion albums though, just due to how epic they are.
Darkthrone - Summer of the Diabolical Holocaust
I shouldn't need to tell anyone familiar with black metal that it's a classic. Some of the most raw, primitive music ever recorded, arguably only bettered by their next album (Transilvanian Hunger) and Ulver's Nattens madrigal.

When the clouds grow dark, the air turns cold.
When I'm scared and cry like a child.
You're there at my side, like a knight of old,
To calm me and hold me a while.

Trollhammaren - Fintroll
A weird ass song a friend told me to get, it's called...folk metal or something. Anyway, its a strange mix but it still works well together except I have no clue what the guy is saying since his singing is all jumbled together. I still like it though.

Finntroll are greatly entertaining, and you have no clue what he's saying because it's all in Swedish (despite the fact that the band are all Finnish).
Darkthrone - Inn i de dype skogers favn
lol, Norwegians and their songs about forests.

Ha, well that explains it. I thought his voice was just so...out there that I couldn't get any of it. Never heard anyone speak Swedish much less sing it.
I'm a Gangster - Josh Tobin
A song so bad that it's good, his rhymes are hot like a burning flame =3. I listen to this song when I need to laugh at something or just for the hell of it.

Ulver - Østenfor sol og vestenfor måne
I'm not exaggerating when I say Kveldssanger is really one of the best folk albums ever made.
