Dehumanized - Prophecies Foretold

Hell yeah one of the best Slam Deathmetal albums ever. Especially the demo songs are sick - Dehumanized know how play slams effectively, unlike most gayspace bands of today. This **** is still a lot more brutal then all the Waking The Cadavers of today.

Therion - Lemuria

Wonderful song. Very beautiful and full of the things that makes Therion so great. And great lyrics.

Haemorrhage - Anatomical Inferno

Despite Goregrind usually slagged of as a childishgenre... oh what the hell let them stfu already. Haemorrhage is one opf my favourite gorgrind acts out there, both live and on record. This **** rips like Carcass used to once. Disgustinhg, great musick for the deranged Psycho-Pathologist.

Puffy - Moguralike

Don't judege them by the cartoon, I know I didn't, in fact I heard of these way before then and refused to watch it as I knew it would compleetly ruin them. They actually are a pretty good band but I'm sure most people would judge the fact that they have a kids TV programme. I've managed to stay wel laway and I'm sure it's for the best. This one's off thhe latest album and is a good tune, not too keen at first but it's grown on me. Best thing about this band is that unlike so many others they seem to get better with each album.

Absu - Tara

Epic, raging Black/Thrash Metal. Absu delivered with Tara their best album.Proscriptor is definitely the best BM drummer out there, and one of the best metal drummers ever. This stuff simply slays. Just everything is killer: the riffs, the drumming, the vokills, hell even the lyrics that deal with (occult) Celtic mythology, amazingly written stuff. the artwork finishes it perfectly. I so hope they will go active again and play live.

Abe Natsumi - Koi****a Onna No Ko Dosu E

Great song, to put it simply. Has an oldies feel to it, if it wasn't quite so lively it could quite easily have been recorded inthe 50's or 60's. I didn't think her solo stuff was gonna be so good but I was proven wrong, this is one of the better songs she's done, saying that though there's about 10 I absoloutely love.

TROB - Soliloqui Of The Stigmatised Shepherd

After more then 10 listens I concluded what I expected, this is one of the best BM albums from '00, if not, from all time. This song being my favourite. The unholy vibe is incredible.

He was supposed to be out last year, but they lengthened his sentence. According to his official website, he's not getting out until June 2008.

And I really need to check out Absu. Downloaded Tara and a bunch of other albums awhile ago; it's time to listen to it soon.

Lykathea Aflame - Shine of Consolation

This particular track suffers slightly because it's between two huge epics, but no matter, every song on Elvenefris is amazing. I can't imagine a better introduction to technical death metal than this album, really.

If you want to convert a glue sniffing hippie with some homo-erotical tendencies, then yeah it's the best introduction possible. :')

Dehumanized - Kingdom Of Crulety

br000000tal as ****. These ****ers need to play live in Holland.

lawl. I guess that's one way to put it

Apotheosis - Victory

Intro to what I consider one of the best symphonic black metal albums ever made, although this particular track doesn't have anything to do with metal at all, being entirely synthesizer and choir based, despite being over six minutes in length. Although some could argue that none of the album has that much to do with black metal since it doesn't really embrace the darker side of human nature, but seeing as Sauron, the one man in the one-man band of Apotheosis, is an admitted pothead I suppose that's not particularly surprising. Still, great stuff, and again, I'd recommend it to anyone new to the genre.

Springfield, or Bobby Got a Shadfly Caught in His Hair by Sufjan Stevens from "The Avalanche: Outtakes & Extras from the Illinois Album"

What can I say about Sufjan Stevens? Not a damn thing. He is a genre unto himself, though much of his stuff is closely related to singer/songwriter. Not a single one of his songs can be taken as an indication as to his other material. This album, "The Avalanche" is an extras album from his third studio release, "(Come On, Feel The) Illinoise", but feels and sound like any other fantastic original album.

Tanpopo - koi wo shichaima****a

It may not be Christmas..but I don't care. I could listen to second generation Tanpopo anytime of the year, so that's what I'm doing. Obviously at the right seasonal period this does seema lot more relevant but I guess it's a tribute to how much I like the song when it's a Christmas song I can listen to all year round, that is a big tribute as I don't even enjoy Christmas songs at Christmas time usually.

Sufjan Stevens is pretty damn great

Absu - Pillars of Mercy

Proscriptor is a ****ing madman. On first listen I can already say that Absu is unquestionably one of the best US black metal bands I've ever heard, and this very well might end up beating Weakling's Dead as Dreams for the title of my favourite USBM album ever. We'll see if the rest of the album keeps up the high quality of the first three tracks thus far.

Dir en grey - GARBAGE

It took me months to realise that this song is actually in English, but readina long with the lyrics can bring much amusement. Frmo the low pitched growls to the squeeky school girl voice, Kyo is in fine form here. The song isn't one of the more emotional songs and so not one of the best, still a good straight up assault on the ears. Finishing the song with the simple line of "please die" in English is most amusing when in context with the rest of the song.

Gallhammer - Tomurai: May Our Father Die

I'm going to have to listen to some live Arch Enemy vocals to be sure, but I think these are the most brutal female vocals I've ever heard. In any case I'm quite liking this, although it's not as old-school black metal as I was expecting; not as many blastbeats and such. Still, some pretty damn terrifying stuff on this record. I'm liking it.

Pyrexia - Sermon Of Mockery

This album is just beautiful. Very lovely melodies and harmonies, that goes along with some real nice clean singing. very catchy sing-along songs with a meaningful lyrics I can relate myself too.^^

You didn't take that did you This is some of the best, brutal pummeling Deathmetal with the typical mid 90's New York sound.

Arch Enemy - Enemy Within

I've started listening more to Arch Enemy again. Great melodic death metal indeed.

If you want a blastbeat done to perfection, Hellhammer's your man. I think somewhere down the line he's hit a drum for nearly ever Scandinavian band. xD Brilliant drummer, though. He's probably up there for be behind Portnoy.

Soilwork - Distortion Sleep

Soilwork are brilliant. I've always played apart in the big Soilwork vs. In Flames talks on music forums, and having been a fan of both for quite some time, and having seen them both live, It's gotta go to Soilwork. Although "Figure Number Five" lacked in quality compared to their older stuff, this track is a fantastic listen.
