I heard Mackintosh set a few records with his pace, but of course, Wikipedia isn't exactly 100% proof. I'm now listening to; Dream Theater - Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence This is 42 minutes of pure genius work. I love Petrucci and Portnoy. <333

ABBA - Dancing Queen
Just because ABBA is the most well-known band coming from Sweden, and one of the very few non-metal bands from Sweden that i actually like to listen to every once in a while.

Hellkult - The Collection
Compilation of the demo's of this band that would later become Wyrd. Typical Finnish raw Blackmetal like Horna, Azaghel etc. with a lot of early Burzum thrown in. But there are also some stuff you hear on the first two Wyrd releases. ( Very little Folk ) Good raw demo stuff for fans only. Some vocal parts, lyrics and image are very silly though |

Shadow Host - Before The Storm
This song is fairly good. It flows throughout it's entire duration, and the vocals are awesome, matching to the decent chorus and above par solo. It's not one of the best on the 'Curse of the Angeleye' album, but it's worth a listen every now and then when playing the fairly decent album through.

Bathory - Baptised in Fire and Ice
Since listening to Blood Fire Death yesterday I've felt a strong urge to go through most of their catalog. Hammerheart isn't the best record in their catalog but it's still an all-time classic, even if some of the vocals are a bit weak. |

Zavorash - Nihilistic Ascension And Spiritual Death
That's some high quality song writing there. Lots of variation, and each song on it's own. The lyrics are very unique and quite intelligent, probably inspired by the likes of LaVey. Sometimes really hateful and full of disgust, sometims calmer and melodic, sometimes brutal and sometimes bombastic. The production is pretty clean but not t overproduced, all in all this is some real high quality BM which I should listen to a lot more. |

Heresi - Psalm I and Heresi - Psalm II
It seems I'm in a Swedish Blackmetal mood tonight. heresi is a one man project by an ex member of the great band Ondskapt. Very headbangable and pretty clean produced, but very good. |

Gustav Holst - Jupiter, Bringer of Jollity
The end of Twilight of the Gods spurred me to listen to The Planets, mostly for the section of this movement he stole for "Hammerheart." It's probably one of the greatest twentieth-century pieces of classical music ever, all things considered. John Williams, great as his soundtracks are, wouldn't have a career if not for works like this and most of Stravinsky and Bruckner's oeuvre. |

yeah, that track is an all-time classic. Although "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" trumps it imho.
Akercocke - Prince of the North A bizarre interlude from a bizarre band. I wouldn't have it any other way, really. Though the songs it's squeezed in between both trump it massively. |

Amon Amarth - Death In Fire
I discovered Amon Amarth only a couple of months back, and now they are one of my fav melodic death metal bands. This track is from Versus the world, but the latest album "With Oden on our side" is the most played album in my collection right now.
