Vio-Lence - Eternal Nightmare
I'm in a pretty angry mood right now. No better album to play then Eternal Nightmare, filled with aggresion and among the best metal riffs ever written. Only posers would avoid this Thrash masterpiece. ( because they're too much of a wimp ) |

Morning Musume - Genki+
Well this is the opener from the new album, I've quickly skimmed through all the songs and it sounds quite disappointing to be honest, but to be fair I was expecting that. It just doesn't seem like Momosu anymore, they seem to be taking themselves way too seriously which, with a band like that is never gonna work. It's still an alright song, but I don't wanna be hearing a song that's just alright, the standard has really slipped form these guys in the past two albums, and when they're putting a track on the album which was also on the mini-album released late last yearthen it seems like they're running out fo dieas. Overall not a bad song like I say, any other artists and I'd probably be quite happy to listen to it, but when it's coming from these guys I expect something a lot better. 5/10 |

Kroda - Funeral Of The Sun
Haha this is even more retarded then a Temnozor. **** this folk garbage, I put on some real metal instead. Order From Chaos - An Ending In Fire Most real metal maniacs know the link with -Angelcorpse. And it kills just as much, if not even more. It's three epics divided into nine parts, and more mature then previous efforts, but still killer old school Black/Death Metal. |

Immolation - World Agony
So goooood. Just when I heard Psalms Of the moribund I daid to myself: only the new Immo and Decrepit Birth can top this. And indeed, the new Immo is obviously 2007's best release and would be extremely hard to dethrone if you ask me, if not impossible The production is again something that needs to get use to but I don't mind it. i never minded a bad Immo production. This album is somehwat groovier and definitely not just another Immo record. |

The Mariner's Revenge Song by The Decemberists from Picaresque.
The Decemberists specialize in the story song, and this one is no exception. A haunting tale of a young mariner seeking revenge for his abandoned mother. It even has an accordion, which always makes me think of "Twelve Monkeys".

Sex Machineguns - Heavy Metal Thunder
Probably one of the best metal bands to ever come out of Japan. They don’t play any sub-genre of metal, they don’t really have any noticeable influences from outside of NWOBHM(Maybe Sabbat), and Metal-Archives lists them improperly as ‘Power Metal’. This band has some of the best melodic riffs I’ve ever heard, I really need to get the rest of their albums. Oh, and this isn’t a Saxon cover. |

^ Good band, great guitar work but I just wish they had a few more solos in their songs other wise they'll always be lagging behind X Japan for the JMetal scene.
X Japan - Art of Life I wasn't playing this until I saw the last post, but now I am...obviously. Pure genius, and I know that can be an overused thing to say but in this case I genuinely think it is, 30 minutes of music bliss. I'm pretty sure that some of this is a bit pretentious in parts but for once it's a song that has the right to be. Ranges from great orchestral music to full on speed metal with blistering solos and soft piano solos playing alone, awesome. I haven't heard every band in the world but I don't think anyone's tried to undertake something like this before and I reckon they'd be a bit stupid to try it to be honest because they probably couldn't pull it off in the way these guys have. I really can't give this song enough praise, I just think it's fantastic is all I can really say. 10/10 |

Apotheosis - The Maimed God
Ah, I've neglected this album for far too long. Symphonic black metal really doesn't get any better than this, despite the ****ty synth quality here. These are some of the most intense black metal vocals in recorded history, probably, too. |
