Well, my favorites would be Pink Floyd and Muse, but seeing as both are popular, I'll say a few other bands I like. Kings of convenience is a Norwegian band that I'm guessing not many has heard of. They had some international success, but i don't know how big it was. The raconteurs, björk, modest mouse, damien rice, etc. are all bands I appericiate.

Witness are a good band if you have watched American Pie two you will know who i mean. They sing in the credits the song with the lyrics "you should be alone, no you shouldnt be alone"

I also love the chillis, Guns and roses and nirvana

Pedro the Lion?! Will you marry me?

Damnit, I'm already married. Yeah, so I'll just post the band list from my profile, and delete the very, very few that might have a smidgeon of popularity. Because, really, I just generally don't like popular bands. They usually lose some of what made them great in the first place.

Caedmon's Call, Pedro the Lion, Jars of Clay, Five Iron Frenzy, Brave Saint Saturn, Iron & Wine , Bright Eyes, Portishead, Sparklehorse, Sufjan Stevens, Pavement, NoSuchMonster, Son Volt, Uncle Tupelo, David Byrne, Lydia's Address, Gary Jules, Damien Rice, The Avett Brothers, Yo La Tengo, Elliot Smith, Calexico, The Decemberists, The Postal Service, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Rilo Kiley, Belle & Sebastian, Sea & Cake, Waterdeep, Starflyer 59

Among those, Caedmon's Call, Pedro the Lion, Jars of Clay, Five Iron Frenzy, Brave Saint Saturn, Sufjan Stevens, Waterdeep, and Starflyer 59 are all shining paradigms of how Christians can actually make good music, instead of ****ty noise that we should be using as psychological torture instead of Metallica. I particularly recommend Sufjan Stevens, and Pedro the Lion who are both highly praised by both independent music fans and critics outside of Christian music.

Iced Earth is one of my favorite bands of all time. Especially when Matt Barlow was lead singer *good times*.

I have been listening too them for the past 2 weeks, I'm trying to go for the record and listen too IE and only IE for 5 months straight. Dante's Inferno = 15 minutes of total pwnage.

Travel In Stygian

Brainwashed

Those are some of my personal favorites off of the Alive In Athens album. Iced Earth at its finest.

Both of my favorite bands are often hated. Rush and Creed. People hate Rush because of Geddy Lee's high pitched vocals, and people hate Creed because Scott Stapp went through a ******* phase. I also like Alter Bridge, which is the same band members as Creed, but Myles Kennedy does vocals. I like Myles Kenndey's first band, The Mayfield Four, alot too. I also like Scott Stapp's solo work. Hmmmm another hated artist that i really like is Hilary Duff. Oboviously people hate her cuz she isn't a whore and nice and all that. ViRGOS is a little known band that i really like. The singer and bassist, Brent Hestla, took the place of Creed's bassist when he left. Vonray is also another band i like that few people have ever heard of. As u can probably tell, i love music.
